The Sims 2: Castaway

Pretend to be Tom Hanks and go crazy on an island

Building survival tools ; Exploring new islands ; Working toward a concrete goal

Doesn't take advantage of Wii controller ; Long, frequent load times ; Cruddy graphics

The Sims 2: Castaway

The best installment of the series on console teaches that just surviving can be better than living large.

One of the best Sims games on console; plenty of options and locations

No multiplayer options at all; graphics are decent, but not outstanding

The Sims 2

Stop telling us it's really just an automated dollhouse; the ultimate "real life" simulation is...

Constant flow of unique rewards ; Sim-ulated language and music ; Career advancement and exploration

Simulates mundane life too well ; Sims don't interact well ; Limited save slots

The Sims 2: Pets

You might want to leave this puppy behind the window and adopt its PC brother instead

Cats and dogs are fun to watch ; Especially in ridiculous costumes ; Basic Sims gameplay is intact

But made tedious by the controls ; Stripped down presentation and options ; Town Square mostly just Pet Square

The Sims 2: Pets

EA's latest Sims title rains cats, dogs, and problems.

Deep and fun creation of pets; realistic behavior and interactions

Apart from pets, there isn't much to do; too few options and modes

The Sims 2: Pets

Who would have thought that EA would be releasing another Sims game for the consoles in 2006? Well, I am sure I was many of the millions who figured

The Sims 2 Pets is a game that you can picture in your mind and when you play the game for the first time you will find that what you pictured is probably pretty accurate. This is still the same great Sims formula with animals thrown into the mix to...

The Sims 2

EA and Maxis bring the wide-open gameplay of the franchise to the consoles with an all-new look.

Addictive, open-ended gameplay. Lots of variety for individual Sims

Not a lot of house-building tools; some awkward pathing and interface frustrations; starts off slow

The Sims 2 Review for the PS2

Save our sims!

Lots of unlockables; Interesting Direct Control

Which implies more than it delivers; Weak Story mode; Game saving problems; No aging, death or kids; Weak Story mode

However, we aren't used to making fun of an entire Sims game. Then again, when a title tries to juggle massive content with console limitations and comes up with in-depth cooking, the best thing you can do is laugh. Admittedly, there's more here than...

The Sims 2 - Review Review

TVG takes a look at the sequel to the ‘Life' simulator that took the world by storm…

Sims 2 will be loved and hated in equal measures and it's very difficult to think of another game that splits gamers so much. There's a distinct lack of events in the game, yet it offers so much. It completely bi-polarises players, and if your ideal...

Sims 2: Castaway - Wii Game Reviews - The Armchair Empire

There's no Gilligan, Skipper, Mary Ann, Ginger, Thurston, Lovey or Professor here, but plenty of Sims are around to venture the uncharted isle that is the new world gamers will explore in The Sims 2 Castaway on the Wii

Wiimote controls work very well for maneuvering around the island

Constant load times distract from island tasks at hand

Play with The Sims 2 Castaway, help your Sims survive and thrive on an uncharted island.
