Tomb Raider Anniversary

Picture a wedding anniversary: typically the husband forgets and has to scramble madly to buy a present at the last minute. Inevitably, disappointment follows and somebody ends up sleeping on the sofa. This was the case with every sequel to Tomb...

Tomb Raider: Anniversary - Playstation 2 (PS2) Reviews - The ArmchairEmpire

Hardto believe, but it's been more than ten years since Lara Croft first leapt (andshot, and rolled, and even jiggled) on to our computers and into theconsciousness of the mainstream

Slight camera difficulties at times; "Rushed" gameplay trumpsexploration

Tomb Raider: Anniversary Review

Lara returns for a second adventure on Xbox 360, this time at retail and digital download via Xbox Live...

Bargain price via Xbox Live Marketplace ; Clever puzzle design ; Continues to show 'Legend' engine well

Requires 'Legend' to download from XL ; Adrenaline/Headshots feel tacked on ; Camera requires too much direct control

As an experiment to push the capabilities of downloadable content over Xbox Live, there's little to doubt Anniversary's originality - on Microsoft's console at least. However, a few extra touches to the lighting and a few soaked vests aside, the Xbox...

Why Eidos, you remembered our Anniversary. And what a wonderful gift you brought!

Awesome nostalgia; great series entry for new-comers; solid engine

Camera hates jumping; unforgiving puzzles

Tomb Raider Anniversary

When Tomb Raider came out in 1996 it revolutionized the gaming industry. Like a breath of fresh air the adventure genre was alive again and Lara paved the way for female heroes (large breasts and all). It was a game to root for, the title to play, and...

Maybe Tomb Raider Legend spoiled me but Anniversary just paled in comparison to the latest Croft adventure. The gameplay isn't quite as solid, the graphics aren't as good, and the sound isn't as impressive. Still, this game was never intended to be a...

Tomb Raider Anniversary

Hey! Look what the cat dragged in... through the mud, off a cliff, down a chasm, over some spikes, sopping wet, half scorched, pulverized by Centaur hooves, skewered by spears but otherwise lookin' good and still sporting those two huge guns and a pair...

It's been a tumultuous decade for Lara Croft. Ten years ago she took the world by storm in Tomb Raider for the original PlayStation. Critics praised the game for verily inventing a new genre, the "3rd-person action/adventure," while applauding the...

Tomb Raider: Anniversary

Coming off of 2006's Tomb Raider: Legend, it appeared as if, for the first time in what must have seemed like an eternity, the series that simultaneously gave birth to both modern 3D adventure and iconic video game heroine Lara Croft had returned to...

Tomb Raider: Anniversary (PS2) Review

Lara Croft gets the "Twin Snakes" treatment...

Tomb Raider: Anniversary has its issues, but it's a well-made look back into gaming's past and a nice adventure romp on its own. Personally, I would've preferred the developer focus its efforts on an entirely new game, but Anniversary's still worth a...

10 Year Reunion

Tomb Raider Anniversary revives the once-dead franchise but inherits some of the series' faults.

Tomb Raider Anniversary Review

Lara's back, celebrating the game that put her on the map eleven years previously...

Bargain price via Xbox Live Marketplace ; Clever puzzle design ; Continues to show 'Legend' engine well

Requires 'Legend' to download from XL ; Adrenaline/Headshots feel tacked on ; Camera requires too much direct control

Like a middle-aged makeover, Tomb Raider Anniversary papers over the nooks and crannies, but it can't conceal the aged and dated overall structure. But that's not to say that Tomb Raider fans won't gain any enjoyment from the title.
