Very good looking ; Fun, fast paced and intense ; Single player and co-op campaigns

Balance issues ; Some screen tearing ; Flat voice acting ; Direction issues

Low Impact Workout

Alien Breed: Impact tries to be a lot of things, but a good game isn't one of them…

The Unreal 3 engine still looks pretty and has proven it can do pretty much anything. The models for everything are very tiny though, and the palette is far too drab. Fire and explosions are amazingly well rendered.

Alien Breed: Impact (PC) Review

Shooting aliens as the toughest engineer in the galaxy. Take a trip down memory lane with this remake of a '90s classic. Rather, the remake of a 2009 remake.

Who out there remembers Alien Breed? And no, seeing a banner for it via Xbox LIVE doesn’t count. I'm talking about the good ol' 1990s, when middle schoolers were discovering the joys of AOL and the PlayStation One was kicking Nintendo's arse.

Alien Breed: Impact

Do you like to shoot aliens in a style reminiscent of the movies 'Alien' and 'Aliens'? Then this game is for you! Team17 have released their latest title in the Alien Breed franchise: Alien Breed: Impact.

An over-simplified game that seems to crave complexity, detail and a little innovation. Great for a good run-and-gun session, but don't expect wonders to sparkle through.
