All-Pro Football 2K8 (Xbox 360)

ESPN NFL 2K5 is one of those games that have developed a seriously hardcore following in recent years. That's because it happens to be one of the most tightly crafted football games ever made, and also because it happens to be the last NFL-licensed...

All-Pro Football 2K8 Impressions

2K Sports announces the return of football to its video game line-up with All-Pro Football 2K8. The critically acclaimed 2K football series once again hits the gridiron with the legendary game play, i

All-Pro Football 2K8

On the surface, All-Pro Football 2K8 is a football fan’s dream. Build your own team with two Gold-Level players and nine of Silver- and Bronze-Level stalwarts, then hit the gridiron to go up against a team also comprised of former NFL stars. If you...

Return of a strong brand ; Creative stadiums ; Build-a-team with NFL legends ; Hurt by no NFL or NFLPA license

No evolution from the past ; Doesn't feel next-gen ; Too similar to 2K5

Likewise, three years ago ESPN NFL 2K5 had the best play-by-play audio, presentation and animations we’d ever seen. For All-Pro Football 2K8, though, those elements seem largely identical, which only draws attention to their occasional hiccups and...

All-Pro Football 2K8

Is that the sound of EA alone in their room crying about how they spent all that money to corner the football gaming market, only to have 2K Games fire back with a football game? Yes, I believe it may be. A few years ago EA made an exclusive contract...

A very good first outing after a long absence for the 2K Football franchise, but it feels at times like they didn't study up on the improvements that Madden has made during that time. Either that, or they just made their game a little more unique than...

All-Pro Football 2K8 Review

Welcome back, 2K Sports football. We missed you.

The stadium design shows a lot of imagination. One has jets perched on a scoreboard, firing fake missiles towards the field whenever the home team scores. Another has a ninety-foot mechanized monster standing on the sidelines. Everything looks great.

Visual Concepts and 2K Sports make their return to the gridiron. But is it a triumphant one?

Realistic game of football; legendary players are a blast; online leagues and tournaments

Missing lots of top-tier legends; doesn't look good; lousy commentary; just season mode

Rise, oh pigskin spirits!

The kicking game is new and definitely challenging. At the start of the play, the aiming arrow will appear, and the ball will be snapped when you pull back on the right stick. To kick, you have to push forward in time with the kicker's foot and follow...

All-Pro Football 2K8

Imagine Rice, Unitas, Butkus, and Singletary. In their prime, on the same field, or maybe even the same team. Imagine preparing a precision squad of mercenaries even building your own players. Imagine football action the way football is really played....

Not Quite Next Gen But Good

I am a huge 2K football fan. I played all of their games since the initial 2K release on the Dreamcast. When EA took the license, I was crushed. I was basically forced to play Madden but opted for the PC version (where I can at least save a game ......

Great animations, game play, presentation, and online

Not "Next Gen", season mode is weak
