Battlefield 3 (PS3, 360) Review

Is Battlefield 3 the new King of FPS, or does it fall short of expectations?

Fantastic multiplayer action ; Co-op missions are challenging and rewarding ; Beautiful environments ; Varied action

Disappointing single player campaign ; Graphical glitches deter from gameplay at times

Battlefield 3 is a must buy if you’re looking for a more realistic first person shooter experience. The battles are long and take place over vast lands, and require careful planning and teamwork not found in any other game. Unfortunately, the single...

Battlefield 3 - PS3 review at Thunderbolt Games

The challenge of a first-person shooter is the same title from title. Put your crosshairs over the enemy soldiers and pull the trigger. The speed at which you can accomplish this task represents your aptitude in this particular branch of game. It's odd...

Battlefield 3

95% of the time, Battlefield 3 is stunning; the amount of detail and small touches in the environments is nothing short of spectacular and the high octane action moments are so well done that they command your attention.

The trainer has you loading out with tools like no damage, no recoil and unlimited ammo, making the perfect combination to take out the enemies. I have to admit I did find myself using the save/load cheat more often than in most trainers as it helped...

Battlefield 3 Review

2011 has been a year of gaming comebacks and heavy hitters and while there are plenty more to come, the FPS genre sees its biggest war this year with Battlefield dropping the Bad Company for this instalment and facing off against the gaming avalanche...

Despite a lacklustre campaign that only hits the high notes on occasion, the game shines on the multiplayer front. If Battlefield had been sold as a multiplayer only experience it probably would have ticked all the boxes, but DICE’s inability to weave...

Battlefield 3 Review

Battlefield 3 ships an unbelievable mutliplayer with a short, unoriginal campaign. Game of the Year it's not, but one of the best online shooters it is.

Battlefield 3 Review

Best-in-class squad-based multiplayer gameplay with signature Rush and Conquest modes; awesome maps with a compelling mixture of terrain and environments; tons of vehicles and weapons that can all be upgraded; virtually endless depth and replayability;...

Single player and co-op games are incompetent and wholly derivative; Frostbite 2 is disappointing; some launch window problems with online servers

Battlefield 3: Multiplayer Brilliance, Amazing Graphics

Battlefield 3 dropped last week, promising a strong single-player campaign, an impressive new graphics engine, and up to 64-person multiplayer mayhem on huge maps. Despite a rough few days post-launch, the game delivers much of the multiplayer goodness...

Fabulous Multiplayer ; Engine sets a new graphics bar ; Emphasis on smart play, teamwork

Lame single-player ; No flight training ; No VOIP

The single-player campaign in BF3 has all the entertainment value of a box of dryer lint, the game really needs a flight tutorial, there's no VOIP, and if you're new to the BF series you're going to spend a lot of time wondering who the heck just shot...

Battlefield 3 Review

Looks amazing ; Sounds incredible ; Multiplayer is great (when it works) ; Co-op is fun

Uninspired story ; Frustrating glitches ; Battlelog is complete rubbish

After placing their bets on Medal of Honour last year, only to leave the casino with nothing except the shirt on their backs, EA have brought out the big guns this year, and they really mean it this time.

Battlefield 3 review [Xbox 360/PS3/PC]

Battlefield 3 is formulaic, and yet it's also two games in one. One part is a meticulously cultivated linear experience with cinematic appeal, the other part a collage of malleable pieces spun together in a sandbox arena. It's a lot of things, but none...

Battlefield 3 Review

It won all sorts of E3 awards. It's EA's big dog; the game that will steal away part of Call of Duty's market share. The PC footage we saw earlier this year blew us out of our chairs. And now that it's here, shooter fans everywhere are prepared for a...
