BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger

The epitome of 2D glory. This year is quickly becoming the year of the fighting game. I can't say we didn't call it last year, but when Street Fighter IV...

Lush 2D visuals ; Deep fighting system ; Fantastic stage design ; Online is smooth

BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger

I have played a lot of fighters in my day. Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Tekken... you name 'em, I've most likely played 'em. However, there was one franchise that slipped my grasp -- only one that I had never played: Guilty Gear.

A terrific fighter in every sense of the word, BlazBlue is a game that you should be playing, whether fighting games are your thing or not. Do not miss it.

BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger Review

Same dance, new song.

Absolutely gorgeous character sprites; stellar animation; characters have a unique feel and have kickass designs; new game, familiar feel

Cant help but feel like youve played it before; unintelligible story; what the hell is going on

That aspect is also what makes it so appealing. It's comfortable. BlazBlue is a new franchise that calls back to the cabinet. It's what youd expect out of, and it's what you want in, a new 2D fighting game.
