Blood Drive

Call it mainstream, call it overplayed, call it whatever you like: I still love zombies. It was with an initial intrigued raise of the eyebrow, therefore, that I met the announcement of Blood Drive. Running over zombies in a myriad choices of vehicles...

In attempting to combine a racing game genre with the zombie theme, Sidhe spawned the abominable Blood Drive with terrible car controls and boring events that play like forced game modes. One word of advice: avoid.

Zombies do not make everything better.

Umma couple of the cars are kind of cool, I guess

Bad concept; feels incomplete/rushed; dated, boring gameplay; uninspired events; awful car handling and physics; technical deficiencies; no split-screen mulitplayer

Blood Drive

Blood Drive is a vehicular combat game with a twist -- instead of merely shooting down or smashing into rival cars, you are running over throngs of zombies. The setting is a futuristic game show that pits armored vehicles against each other in a gruesome

Dead Sinking

Watching zombies fly to pieces as giant buzzsaws cut through them

Being unable to find a zombie to use said buzzsaw on

is a disgrace to its pedigree. The driving is lumbering and repetitive, the setting cliched and dull in its excess. The technological limitations that keep the game from offering Dead-Rising-style hordes of zombies to plow through rob the game of the...

Blood Drive (Xbox 360, PS3) review

No matter how good or bad a game is, there is always a moment when it peaks, and you feel like you've seen everything of worth it has to offer. The sad fact for Blood Drive is that this moment comes after only 15 minutes play. The further I forced...

Shatter took the age-old block-breaking arcade games of yesteryear and updated them to something highly playable in today's gaming climate. Blood Drive is the polar opposite, taking bottom of the barrel ideas from ten to fifteen years ago, and reusing...

Blood Drive- PS3

Anyone looking for a quick car combat fix before next year's Twisted Metal might be able to waste a few hours on this title, but they won't be wholly enjoyable hours. Since you can't save in the middle of a tournament, and some the later cups last a...

Blood Drive- PS3

I don't know if the game was rushed out the door or simply not given an adequate budget or development schedule, but what's on the disc represents less content and value than a lot of downloadable games.

Blood Drive- PS3

In the end, Blood Drive is just some generic cars running over some ho-hum zombies. The controls could be tighter and no one seems to be playing online, but the game succeeds at giving you a license to run over the undead. It just isn't that exciting.

Could've Been Better

I was interested in this game purely for the silliness of it all. I loved the idea of a game show set during a Zombie Apocalypse with Cars. Obviously this was released to ride on the hype of the new Twisted Metal game but it just doesn't fill the urge...
