Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

The Call of Duty franchise has always set the bar for the first-person shooters genre. Its action-packed and immersive environments have influenced the industry for years. Infinity Wards new game expands upon its recent foray into modern combat and is...

[DLC] Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package

Best map-pack ever?

Ignore the naysayers, the Stimulus Package is worth every single penny of it's $15 price tag.

Modern Warfare 2

Stupid monikers aside though, what can you expect from what's easily the year's most anticipated orgy of destruction? Well, plot-wise, it's the usual gung-ho pastiche of blokey DVD collections, a Tom Clancy novel and some ever-so-slightly-dubious...

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

It's been 2 years since Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare arrived and seemingly blew the lid off of what combat shooter games could be. Now the sequel has arrived and expectations are high. With nearly a gazillion units already sold before my review copy...

Highly immersive, both online and off ; Great multiplayer

Only 18 players online ; Stupid storyline ; Short single player game

Sounds great, doesn’t it? Well, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 isn’t without its problems. First off is the short single player campaign and ludicrous storyline. Then we get a limiting number of players online. Why do we only get 18 players per match?...

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is here, and yes, it's packed with (almost) as many surprises as explosions.

Despite being "sub-HD" in native resolution, you'd never really know it (nor does it ever really matter once the lead starts flying). Infinity Ward has done absolutely amazing things with their engine.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Chances are good that by now gamers have already decided whether or not they are going to buy Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The game was released in the early part of November and was an instant success for Activision with millions of copies sold...

In case you couldn't tell by now I absolutely loved Modern Warfare 2. Everything about this game is a testament to the quality development team over at Infinity Ward. The gameplay, graphics, sound, and addictive multiplayer stand out in ways that few...

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Rev..

Brash, loud, pretty, offensive, and over the top -- Modern Warfare 2 is a smashing success.

Intense action, unparalleled multiplayer, spec ops coop missions

Confusing story, very short singleplayer

As short as the single player campaign is, it has so many memorable moments ? some of the more controversial in recently released games ? that it leaves you wanting more once it is over. Thankfully, there is so much to work with after the campaign is...

Modern Warfare 2

It wasn't supposed to be that game. The odds were stacked against Infinity Ward in more ways than one as the industry marched toward the now legendary 2007 holiday season. Activision was against moving the bestselling Call of Duty franchise out of the...

The Call of Duty gameplay formula has both fans and detractors, but it's hard to argue against the raw intensity and cinematic spectacle that Infinity Ward creates with it. The game gives you just enough freedom to let you think you're the one pushing...

Despite the epic scope of the set-pieces and the variety of mission objectives, the single-player campaign is a big disappointment. The storyline makes no fucking sense whatsoever, rendering the entire context for the action and the events that take...

If you're a fan of the Call of Duty gameplay formula, Modern Warfare 2 has just rendered every other FPS on the market irrelevant. There's nothing here to make converts out of those who hated the original Modern Warfare, but for the rest of us, no...

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Review for the PS3

Where serial killers earn stealth bombers.

Well-balanced online play; Excellent upgrade system; Deep multiplayer strategy; Enormous map variety; Impossibly smooth online framerate; Promising co-op mini-games

Garbage singleplayer
