Captain America: Super Soldier (PlayStation 3)

When you think of the supplies a soldier might need in a war, a gun would probably be the first thing that pops into your head. But if you're already infused with super serum, such a pedestrian trinket serves little purpose. In Captain America: Super...

The chances are you have experienced Captain America at some point in your life, whether it be the summer's successful foray in the series of Marvel movie blockbusters or one of the thousands of comics released over the years. Captain America: Super...

Captain America: Super Soldier Review: Surprise, it's good on PS3, Xbox 360

Marvel must have injected its usual ho-hum superhero movie-game tie-ins with a special serum. Luke Brown tells us Captain America is worth playing.

Even though Captain America: Super Soldier is a standard movie tie-in game, I had a great time playing it. It is a bit on the short side (even on the harder difficulties the game can be completed in about 5 hours), but that doesn't take much away from...

Captain America: Super Soldier Review

Feel this grip, Zemo! It's the grip of a man who loves liberty!

Good movie-based title; Straightforward, enjoyable combat; Continuous, explorable environment

Limited enemy variety; Too many collectibles; Only a ten-hour single-player campaign

Captain America: Super Soldier Rev..

Captain America fights the ceramic egg menace.

Combat is accessible yet satisfying, plentiful collectibles are easy to find, challenges offer some variety

Collectibles don?t make any sense, game is short, underwhelming villains, inconsistent platforming

Captain America: Super Soldier

Captain America's costume looks great, but everything is incredibly bland and uninspired. Painted with dark grays and browns, the visual design of Cap's latest adventure is uninspiring at best.

I'd love an unlimited health and tactical vision mode (it's sort of like detective mode in Batman: Arkham Asylum). What I'd like most though is the ability to unlock some cool items from Cap's past. Where are the extra costumes? The extra characters? I...

Captain America: Super Soldier Playtest: Standard Soldier

Let's go over why Captain America is in this fortress castle fighting Hydra to begin with. Not that it matters, as you'll spend your time attacking generic soldiers in bland environments and collecting falcon statues that are hardly hidden.

If you want to, you can turn on 3D.

Solid combat ; Chris Evans delivers

Too many collectibles ; Bland environments ; Stiff animations

Captain America: Super Soldier Review

Captain America bashes enemies with style, but a dull story and bland visuals keep Super Soldier from being a star-spangled success.

Smooth and exciting combat ; Hunting down hidden objects is rewarding ; High-flying platforming portions look neat

Boring visual design ; Dispassionate storytelling

The individual elements in Super Soldier aren't that impressive. Punishment-free platforming, a dull story, and homogenized visuals make you feel like a super zero, and the tame boss fights fail to inject much excitement into your adventure. But combat...
