Child of Eden (PlayStation 3)

Child of Eden is a brief but magical journey into a world where the mechanical and the natural fight for survival. Like producer Tetsuya Mizuguchi's previous game Rez, the aim is to eradicate an enemy virus from a computer system through five...

Child of Eden Review

Child of Eden, the spiritual successor to Rez, arrives on the PlayStation 3. Interested? Read IGN's Child of Eden review to find out more.

Child of Eden failed to engage me on a mechanical level, but as a visual/aural experience it fairs much better. I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel my heart pound as I worked to free Lumi from the clutches of the virus. I just wish Q Entertainment...

Child of Eden Review

Child of Eden may be over quickly, but it offers emotional highs you'll want to experience again and again.

Beautiful visuals ; Incredible soundtrack and audio effects ; Move and standard controller offer different experiences ; Great stereoscopic 3D mode

Doesn't take long to reach the end credits

Child of Eden is a bold artistic experiment that's also accessible and fun. It's easy to pick up and play, offers bursts of pure joy, and is even a pleasure to watch others play. It's over quickly, but the amount of unlockable content means it's...

Child of Eden

It's tough to describe just how untraditionally beautiful Child of Eden truly is. Gorgeously abstract and unconventional, it's a literal onslaught of luminous colors and pounding music notes.

I would love an unlimited numbs cheat as it's a the main weapon I found myself using to clear a bunch of enemies on the screen, but there was never enough of them. I'd also like to unlock the "feeling eden" mode for all levels immediately, as it's a...

Child Of Eden

Like Rez, Child Of Eden hustles and sweats in the name of convincing us that we’re doing something interesting, exciting, artful, and purposeful. But strip away the neon visuals and the doomp-doomp-doomp of the soundtrack, and you’re left with a pretty...

Child Of Eden Review

The spiritual successor to Rez builds on the core tenants of the first game beautifully, but still feels familiar.

You can't experience Child of Eden and hold it to the same expectations you would a contemporary video game. The same could be said of Rez, the game which this spiritual successor is based on. Similar to Q Entertainment's last notorious music game,...
