Crysis 3 Review

Long live Laurence Barnes.

One-two punch of art direction and technical wizardry; Surprisingly memorable characters...; Levels offer more freedom than Crysis 2's, while maintaining streamlined focus; Elegant control scheme and UI make accessing abilities a breeze; Huge array of...

in a silly sci-fi story; ...but a little TOO badass

I believe I will, Laurence, and I don't think I'll be the only one either.

Crysis 3 Review

Crysis 3 is really pretty to look at. I think we all expected that. It's also a well produced, nicely paced shooter that is technically proficient and loaded with lots of entertaining set pieces. They even try to tell a deeper and more engaging story...

More eye candy than a lolly shop housed in an optometrist; Excellent AI, and that includes friendlies; First half allows both stealth and combat approaches; A beautiful, rich world dripping with authentic touches

The pacing of the second half becomes a bit monotonous in its unwavering ferocity; A little more enemy variety would be nice

Crysis 3

Super duper super trooper! We head to New York and review Crytek's latest tech demo for the PlayStation 3.

Crysis 3 is set in a world that can take your breath away - but as an overall experience, it's flawed. Crytek’s third installment is undoubtedly a beautiful product, but it is not yet a beautiful game.

Crysis 3 review: An enjoyable shooter elevated by staggering visuals

The

The best-looking game of all time ; Refreshingly open levels ; Surprisingly good multiplayer

Only millionaires will max it out ; A lack of new ideas ; Single-player lasts 5-6 hours
