Crysis

Before Crytek released Crysis on the PC in 2007, the development team had acknowledged their intent: to create a game so demanding of users' hardware that most high-end PCs at the time probably wouldn't be able to handle the game at maximum settings....

Crysis Review

Crysis comes to consoles, and four years after its release on the PC, there's still nothing quite like it.

Vast, beautiful environments give the action lots of flexibility ; Nanosuit powers make the shooting even more fun ; Lots of enjoyable vehicles to drive ; Great visuals and sound effects

Linear, more predictable final hours ; Frustrating checkpoints

Crysis has stood the test of time, even if its faults are more apparent in retrospect. Parts of the campaign drag (a trek through a dark mine), while the final stretch sacrifices flexibility for scripted battles. But this first-person shooter's...

Crytek's PC powerhouse from 2007 finally arrives on consoles. Does it hold up? Check out IGN's complete Crysis review, including video.

The console version of Crysis doesn't look quite as good as its PC counterpart (and that's to be expected). It doesn't add any new campaign content, and it doesn't include the multiplayer support packaged with the original. With that said, it's a great...

The original Crysis debuted on the PC back in 2007, and the hype surrounding the game's graphical prowess is legendary. For the most part, the game delivered the goods and those running fast computers saw the best-looking production of the generation....

When Crysis 2 came out on the console, I admit that I didn't rush to pick it up. I'm the kind of person that hates jumping into a series in the middle and felt that I'd be missing something if I didn't know the...

Stunningly remastered visuals ; Linear without being restrictive ; Attention to detail is everything

Occasional visual glitches ; Vehicle controls are too loose

When Crysis 2 came out on the console, I admit that I didn’t rush to pick it up. I’m the kind of person that hates jumping into a series in the middle and felt that I’d be missing something if I didn’t know the back-story. Thankfully, other members of...

It's been a long time coming, but Crytek's original PC-pushing behemoth has finally made its way on to the home console. Some hardcore elitists will no doubt be rolling their eyes at the graphical downgrade (as surprisingly slight as it may be), but...

As a budget title available for download over Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network, Crysis simply soars. It’s worth noting that the multiplayer component has been removed, but then you can’t have everything. It’s purely as a single-player adventure...

The console port of Crysis is excellent, so if you've never had a PC up to the job now's your chance to see what all the fuss was about.

Controls tweaked for console play ; Open environments make for great gameplay ; Looks great

Framerate isn't quite smooth

While the latter portion of Crysis isn't as good as what precedes it, the game as a whole still ranks as one of the best FSP campaigns of the modern gaming era. The console port is excellent, so if you've never had a PC up to the job now's your chance...

Crysis- PS3

A very interesting prospect for console digital downloads and a welcome update and re-release of a game many of us missed first time around. It's imperfect and rougher than we'd hope, but Crysis still stands out as a very good game - better than many...

If you've grown tired of the same old turkey shoots and have yet to indulge yourself in the PC version's pleasures, now's a good time to take a tropical adventure. At $20, this downloadable island getaway is a real deal.
