DC Universe Online Review

Playing as comic book heroes and villains never gets old and has in fact has expanded from the days of using Mom's curtains as a cowl. Sony Online Entertainment remembers those days, releasing DC Universe Online, an MMO for the PS3 and PC.

One word of warning though, if you are not planning on staying past the free month, then don’t bother trading in the game. Each game is packaged with a registration code for that disk and once it’s entered it stays with the PSN account that it was...

"DC Universe Online" (DCUO) Review PlayStation 3 (PS3)

DC Universe Online looks and plays as good as any MMO at launch to date, "DCUO" combines the very best of superhero action with MMO gameplay, Some of the best level design I've ever seen in an online game, very little "grinding", "DCUO" sports deeper...

Clearly PC designers were in charge of the wonky menu system, bigger text and less menus please, Communication needs work, voice and text options are confusing and difficult to use well, I know it's an MMO, but same console multiplayer (sidekick?)...

While Superman has his weakness (allergy?) to Kryptonite, and Lex Luther sports an Earth threatening ego it is exactly those tragic shortcomings that allow us not only to relate, but to see them in incredible stories. "DC Universe Online" (DCUO) gives...

'But is it worth the initial investment? Due to the impressive groundwork laid by the excellent character creation and combat, I\x92d say yes. That\x92s coming from someone not particularly into comics who mostly soloed the game. If you\x92re into the...

It should have been every fanboy's dreameven more so if you were an MMORPG nut. I would know; I'm both. And when I heard rumors Sony was teaming with DC Comics to create a massive universe that would allow me to make my own superhero, fight alongside...

PC gamers have their fill of MMO's to choose from but at last console gamers finally get a chance to see what it is all about. With a monthly fee attached however, will it be enough to keep the community going or will it be a matter of PC gamers only?

DC Universe Online

I may be in the minority here but I for one have been waiting for a MMO to come to the consoles for quite sometime. I know I am in the minority when

As much as I wanted to get into DCUO there was nothing about it that made want to continue to throw down the monthly fees after the initial 30 day trial. There is some obvious potential in this game but at the time of this review there is not enough...

DC Universe Online (PS3) Review

While many people still claim the PS3 has a weak RPG line-up, 2011 is set to deliver an array of MMORPGs for us to devour. First up is DC Universe Online. Follow us as we strap on our tights and tie on our capes in order to deliver you an action packed...

Speaking of servers, the PS3 and PC servers are segregated from each other. This is quite a shame, as I would have loved to have battled a few PC players myself. For some reason I was under the impression that this was going to be a multiplatform...

DC Universe Online Review

Fun combat and great looks make DC Universe Online entertaining for a while, though various limitations keep it from being a long-term destination.

Action-packed combat is fun from the start ; Both Metropolis and Gotham City look great ; Beautiful comic-book cutscenes punctuate story missions ; Changing gear doesn't mean you have to change your looks

You reach the level cap and stop earning new powers incredibly quickly ; A variety of interface and voice chat issues ; Combat and missions get predictable ; Not enough content to keep you invested beyond the free month

You can spend some in-game cash and "respec" your character--that is, reset your powers and skills and allocate your points elsewhere. But you stop earning experience (and thus, fancy new abilities) once you reach level 30, and unfortunately, you...
