Demon's Souls

After a short tutorial, a giant demon smashed my hero to pieces. He was then kinda-sorta revived in a ghost form, and I started Demon's Souls proper. I wandered up the steps to a mammoth Gothic castle, knocked off a few zombie-things, and was generally...

Atmospheric, challenging (to put it lightly!), it will keep you going for ages ;

Online mode destroys the game's mood, can occasionally be too 'old school' for it's own good ;

Demon's Souls

General:

Rich, eerie atmospheres in a persistently challening game with difficult bosses and the ability to adopt a very individualized playing style

Tedious farming for random events required for trophies.The steep learning curve is frustrating and can discourage you from continuing.The game is not pausable other than saves and there are no checkpoints

Great game if your looking for a challenging and rewarding game this is it

I don't think this really detracts from the game but it is a very hard game and it is unforgiving. Not much interaction or story

The graphics are great and the story in typical Atlus and very interesting. The surround in the game is really well done

The controls are a bit to get used to and there is a STEEP learning curve to the game. Overly difficult at times
