DiRT 2 (PlayStation 3)

If you have any interest whatsoever in off-road racing you'd do well to take this beautiful and thrilling game for a spin.

Dirt 2 Review

The 2nd game in the Colin McRae Dirt series. Would a non-racing fan enjoy it?

In summation, Dirt 2 is a fine continuation of the series and as great as an introductory rally racing game probably can be. I'm still not a fan of the genre, but if some friends wanted to sit down and play, I certainly wouldn't say no. For racing...

Formula 1 racing just isn't all that challenging. The problem is, your car goes where you point it. What with the huge sticky tires and enough downforce to gobstop a dwarf its hard to go wrong. No, what really challenges a good driver is a half-broke...

This is a fun rally racing game that leans more toward arcade action than driving simulation. Newcomers will find it easy to get into and advanced players will enjoy multiplayer. The graphics and in-game presentation are well done.

Fast and dirty, Dirt 2 delivers the rally racing goods.

Fast, furious action, great physics, top-notch X-games style presentation

More Monster energy drink ads than youll ever need to see

At its core, this puppy has taken its serious sim roots, mixed in a few casual-friendly options and thrown in a plethora of content (both online and offline) to keep finicky gamers interested. It kept me coming back even after failing an embarrassing...

Get Dirty

Though I kind of wish they stuck with a more subdued style instead of the extreme sports makeover, there’s no denying that DIRT 2 still offers some of the best off road racing out there. Though there aren’t as many tracks, cars, or race types as other...

With a career mode that will keep you busy for hours on end, high quality multiplayer and excellent presentation values, DiRT 2 should appeal to just about anybody.

A forgiving and well-designed difficulty system; excellent presentation values; online multiplayer is fun and without technical glitches; each race type is well executed

No split-screen multiplayer support; some bad voice acting; the poor relationship system

DIRT 2 [Xbox 360, PS3, PC,]

With DIRT 2 we find Colin McRae's series hitting its seventh game in a string of sim-like rally racers, following on from 2007's DIRT. However, with a market now literally flooded with racing titles, DIRT 2 has a lot of work to do if it wants stay in...

Mixes sim like feel with a slightly more arcade experience for exhilarating races ; Looks absolutely stunning ; Ton of content and settings ; Amazing presentation on and off the tracks ; Robust online multiplayer with no lag

Difficulty ramps up just as much on hardest and easiest settings ; Nothing outside of actual racing ; Madina Lake are on the soundtrack

DIRT 2 is technically flawless, everything about it bleeds from a top quality racing game that could very well be the best of this generation. While every and any bad point is just mere nitpicking, racing fans will be stupid to miss this title.

Nothing wrong with getting a little Dirty!

There are a large variety of event races to choose from such as Rally, Trailblazer, Raid, Landrush, and of course Rallycross. The fun doesn't end there as you can earn specialty modes such as Gate Crasher, Domination, and Last Man Standing modes as...

Dirt 2

I had always avoided racing games involving 'Rally' in them. For the most part I always got frustrated when playing them because there was little room for failure when it came to over compensating a turn or bumping into a vehicle.  Basically, I blame...

DIRT 2 review

Codemasters have had great success with the Colin McRae Rally series, which has pretty much turned into the de facto standard rally game whenever it's released — kinda like Madden is for football. Dirt 2 is the successor to the great, but technically...
