DJ Hero 2

Go DJ, it's your birthday…again. Last year we were introduced to DJ Hero. It was a refreshing entry to the rhythm-action music games. The style and musical presentation was a...

Great song selection ; Mixes go well together ; Improved controls ; Better multiplayer options ; Nice presentation ; Freestyle is amazing

Microphone use is lackluster ; No big visual upgrade ; No importing songs from the first game

Last year we were introduced to DJ Hero. It was a refreshing entry to the rhythm-action music games. The style and musical presentation was a real stand out. Now we have the second installment of the series and let me just say beforehand, it has taken...

DJ Hero 2

In the primitive yesteryear of 2009, humble developer FreeStyleGames went beyond downloadable content for Guitar Hero and set to work on their brainchild:?DJ Hero was born. ?It was a ton of fun to play between the soundtrack, innovative peripheral, and...

DJ Hero 2

Following Activision's recent lacklustre Guitar Hero they bring us DJ Hero 2, a follow-up to last year's impressive but pricy game for wannabe DJ's.

DJ Hero 2 Review

Where it's at.

Fantastic music, freestyle sections give control over mix, great battle modes, cleaner interface

Some menu clunkiness, no practice mode, singing a mix has limited appeal

DJ Hero 2 Review

In a game where you fiddle with a fake controller, focused on the screen prompting you to press this button here, flick that thing there, twist this other thing over here, it can be easy to forget that the reason you play these games is for the music...

While DJ Hero 2 rides on the success of its fantastic soundtrack and the lower cost of its hardware over what we saw last year, the biggest new feature - the microphone support - has fallen flat with every vocalist I've tried to recruit for our music...

DJ Hero 2 (X360) Review

The virtual DJ simulator returns with more freestyle freedom and now lets vocalists sing beside the DJs.

Coming in from the success of DJ Hero, FreeStyle Games tries out a few new things with DJ Hero 2. Aside from the top-notch music mash-ups, FSG is now letting players add their personal touch to the mixes and even letting vocalists into the act.

DJ Hero was a huge surprise to me. Activision, infamous for running Guitar Hero into the ground (the latest entry in the long-in-the-tooth series made me want to chuck the disc out the window), actually managed to release a fun, innovative, and truly...

DJ Hero 2 Review

Let's make one thing clear right off the bat: there is a distinct difference between Guitar Hero and DJ Hero. It goes well beyond the type of music and plastic interactive instruments; it's about the interaction itself. In the long-running Guitar Hero,...

[Hands-On] DJ Hero 2

Drop that zero and get with the Hero!

There is no denying precisely what Paji and Aram mentioned, though; this an infinitely better soundtrack, mostly because it taps a bit more strongly into current club cuts but because the pairings (from what we could hear at the time) were a little...
