DmC: Devil May Cry Review

With assured storytelling, great combat, and imaginative design, DmC: Devil May Cry is a fun reboot, despite some frame rate issues and audio bugs.

DmC Devil May Cry

Dante's back and he's got a grudge to settle with the Demon World, come join Games Xtreme to see if this latest reboot to the franchise makes us cry or not.

DmC is a worthy game to bear the franchise title and with solid graphics, excellent combat and a pretty neat story – it has solid replay value for anyone who wants to get the best scores and all the combat moves as well as beat the hardest difficulties.

Visually and stylistically impressive ; Great hack-and-slash gameplay ; Huge replay value

Uninspired plot

The verdict is in. This is the game which tore opinion down the middle as fans were introduced to a modernised take on the beloved demon-slayer, Dante. Gone were the feathery white locks of old, as were the blood red coat and carefree demeanour,...

Appearances to the contrary, DMC plays like the sequel fans have been hoping for. It positively crushes the gameplay of the fourth instalment and does away with the overused backtracking. With a story that finally explores the truth behind Dante’s...
