Fable Heroes review: Less a Fable game, more a tribute act

For all Fable 3's faults - limited NPC interaction, unclear moral choices, an end-game that came out of nowhere - it was fully built with the player in mind, brimming with fresh ideas and streamlined for maximum enjoyment.

A hand-stitched visual style ; Twelve characters from Fable lore ; Four-player local and online co-op

Brainless and unsatisfying combat ; Limited move-sets and skills ; Some flat, poorly designed levels

It's lacking in ideas, falls short in its execution and can't even get it together for co-op. In short, it's Fable minus the magic.
