Front Mission Evolved Review

I believe the last mech game that I got into was Mechwarrior 2, and that was a very, very long time ago. So I was hopeful that Front Mission Evolved ...

If by some chance you can stand playing through the lengthy campaign you will realize that there is really no reason to play Front Mission Evolved ever again, and will most likely find yourself throwing it into the trade bin. This game lacks any real...

Does Front Mission make the genre-changing jump well? Find out inside.

The game has decent third person controls, but left out key upgrades that have improved the genre, such as cover or effective use of partners. Plus, most of the Wanzer customization has been done better by Armored Core. You can find a pretty standard...

Front Mission Evolved tries very hard to instil the idea that at the heart of every mech is a living, breathing, human with a soul. It's a shame the game doesn't have one.

The Front Mission series, which is normally Japan-exclusive, has tested the international market with mixed results.? Front Missions 3 and 4 received lukewarm reviews and failed to make an impression outside of Japan.? Double Helix Games, best known...

Front Mission Evolved is competent but average. The good ideas were here but they couldn't translate into the execution.

Fans of the Front Mission series will notice something different about this latest title from Double Helix and Square Enix. Ditching the turn-based tactics genre in favor of third-person action, Front Mission Evolved is a new breed of the series.

Front Mission Evolved tells a convoluted and boring story of war filled with typical themes of the threat of rapid technological advancement and outlandish groups of villains. The script is even more typical, with cheesy interactions between characters...

I've not played much of the Front Mission franchise, so maybe I'm missing something. Then again, maybe I'm not, and I'm the perfect person to take a look at this relaunch of the franchise as it's been 6 years since the last game arrived in North America.

Blowin' stuff up! + Some solid action

Customization doesn't feel fully fleshed out - Multiplayer is lacking - Story is pointless and detracts from the game - Localized damage not fully fleshed out

BOOM! That's enough, isn't it? BOOM! Yeah, I think so. BOOM!

Front Mission Evolved Review for the PS3

War is Hell. War is Other Robots.

I love giant robots; ...and killing other giant robots; Strategy is still key; On-foot sections not game-breaking

Serious(ly confusing) plot; Bullet, rocket, missile-sponge bosses

Front Mission Evolved (PS3) Review

It's time to fire up your Wanzer mecha and join the battle in the latest Front Mission game.

Traditionally, the Front Mission series has been known for turn based tactical RPGs. This time around, Square Enix and Double Helix Games delivers an action game and third person shooter all-in-one that puts you in direct control of a mech.

The scope of the video game industry has been evolving dramatically over the last few years. We now have sweeping epics, with storylines that will (well..mostly) resonate with gamers everywhere. One thing hasn't changed though - gamers love big...

I'm not the most mechanically inclined guy, I can't even take care of my own car, I imagine a mech would be even harder. Thanks to the trainer at CheatHappens.com, I won't have to worry much about it though as it comes with a number of awesome cheats...

Front Mission Evolved Review

Blowing stuff up is the only enjoyable part of Front Mission Evolved, a mediocre third-person shooter featuring giant mechs.

Intense explosions and constant combat ; Ranking system in multiplayer can keep you going a long time

One-note shooting action ; Annoying, absurdly long boss battles
