Gran Turismo 6 Review

Gran Turismo is one of the oldest and most respected names in racing games worldwide, and the final, eventual release of GT5 back in 2010, which felt years too late, was a mixed affair: sure, the graphics were an improvement and the car selection was...

If Sony wants to get serious with racing simulators on their new system, they're going to be left with an uncomfortable choice: either let Polyphony Digital take a few years to recreate cars and tracks worthy of the new console, or just keep the old...

Gran Turismo 6 review: a familiar excellence under the hood

There is no more shining emblem of mankind's industrious nature than the motor vehicle. From the lowly Honda Civic to the Lamborghini Aventador, cars embody not just a mode of transportation, but a sense of freedom and fun unrivaled by anything mankind...

Gran Turismo 6 for PlayStation 3 will bring new levels of authenticity to 'the Real Driving Simulator' as well as introducing stunning new tracks and cars and a revised user interface. A new compact game engine will improve operation and increase the...

Gran Turismo 6 review

There was some trepidation about the release of a new Gran Turismo game. The fifth title in the series was, frankly, dull and that put a lot of pressure on Gran Turismo 6 to get it right and bring the series back to the must-have it once was. Not only...

Simply stunning, photo-realistic graphics, a driving engine that has been honed to perfection, over 1000 cars to drive, each with their own handling characteristics, great selection of tracks

Long loading times, poor car damage mechanic, uninspiring user interface, occasional texture shortcut that can look out of place

Minor gripes aside, Gran Turismo 6 is considerably better than its most recent predecessor and one of the greatest driving games the PlayStation 3 has been treated to.

Gran Turismo 6 review

Gran Turismo 6 is a superb racing simulator with swoon-worthy visuals and a fitting end to the PlayStation 3's year. We took it for a spin...

Beautiful presentation ; Amazing handling ; Every car feels unique

Microtransactions ; Patchy soundtrack ; Dumb AI

Like its predecessor, Gran Turismo 6 feels like it’s within striking distance of perfection but still needs a little bit of time to get there. That shouldn’t take anything away from the fact that GT 6 is arguably the best racing simulator on the PS3...

Gran Turismo 6

You might not need a next-gen console to play a next-gen racing game

Astonishing 1080p graphics ; Nearly every major marque and tons of models ; Superb handling ; More accessible UI and career structure

Racer AI still lacks excitement ; Not as thrilling or competitive as Forza 4 and 5

Gran Turismo 6 is the best ever Gran Turismo, with graphics and physics that push the PS3 to its very limits. With a massive car list, an impressive track-list and a good selection of special events, it’s impossible to fault on the breadth or depth of...

Gran Turismo 6 PS3 Review

The Gran Turismo series has now been on the go for 15 years. The series may not move on in ways that it should, although what it always does offer is a brilliant drive. This sixth game in the series has been released when a new console generation has...

I got gran turismo 6 for my husband. Yes he loves it but now that he has done all the tests and has done the super licience he doesn’t no where to go from here. He doesn’t want to play the game online. Do more races come up like the gt5. ?

Gran Turismo 6 Review: one of the final swansongs for PS3

The Gran Turismo series has always been more than just a racing game. Ever since its debut on the original PlayStation 15 years ago, Gran Turismo has been a celebration of the motor industry as a whole with a wide variety of cars, and Gran Turismo 6 is...

Excellent car handling ; Improved Career Mode ; Much faster menus

Car still sound terrible ; Noticeable graphical problems ; Too many car duplicates

Gran Turismo 6 is the best in the series, but it's not perfect. It's as good as it gets in terms of racing games on the PlayStation 3; no game comes close in terms of car count, track variety, or handling physics, even if the vehicle sounds are still off.
