Gravity Crash- PS3

Gravity Crash combines vintage arcade shooter gameplay with striking HD vector graphics running in 1080p at 60 frames per second. In Gravity Crash, developed by Just Add Water, the player pilots a small craft. Mastering the flight mechanics to combat...

Crashin' it old school.

I bet the guys at Just Add Water just looooove being such old-school nerds...

The game boasts an appealing mix of funky 90's electro/techno/pop tunes. After a while you'll know every single track there is in and out. The ability to insert custom soundtracks would've been nice.

A lovely romp through the greatest moments of shooters past

Pure arcade fun ; Gravity mechanic is interesting ; Deliciously retro ambient house soundtrack

Dying a lot ; Moments of frustration ; Stuck in PixelJunk Shooter's shadow

It’s a game that seems to have been forged in a simpler age, when lives lost meant another quarter in the change-guzzling slot of doom. But for every knuckle-gnawing defeat there's an ozone-punching moment of gratification. Which is brilliant,...

Once the main campaign has been exhausted you can turn to the game's multiplayer modes. From here you can select from Deathmatch, Salvage and Race between three other local buddies. Each mode can be tweaked to suite  your multiplayer session; from the...

Simple yet stylised visuals and effects; Retro gameplay given a new lick of paint; Level editor and user levels boosts longevity

Level editor can be buggy at times; Music can't be replaced with your own; Can get boring fairly quickly

Each level resembles a planet located in the five different solar systems on the Galactic Map. With six planets to each solar system there's enough gameplay here to last you a few hours, however this is mostly dependant on whether you follow your tasks...

Welcome to outer space, it's time to shoot everything.

The multiplayer modes miss the mark slightly, as they are fun but the screen layout seems like it's coming from someone who never saw a splitscreen setup in their lives. Both players' screens are shrunk in order to compensate space for the overworld...

How is that even possible? For a start, the level editor lets you build the landscape by adding and subtracting simple shapes. Tapping L1 lets you switch between Object and Land modes, with the d-pad being used to cycle through sub-categories and such....

Gravity Crash (2009) on PlayStation 3

As a test of a player's reflexes, Gravity Crash is a very tricky title that demands significant concentration and split second timing to successfully fly your ship through the various craters and gorges of each level in the game. As a deep gameplay...

Prepare to crash and burn in space.

A review. Now wait, did I not just review this game? Was it not set in some caves with colonists and lava... I'm pretty sure I did? Oh no wait that's Sony's other retro shooter
