How to Train Your Dragon

A bold direction with a lack of polish. It is reaching that time of year again where countless animated flicks are hitting theaters, and of course the barrage of tie-in...

Love the concept ; Lots of customization ; Plenty to see and do

Disappointing visuals ; Tedious design ; Lackluster combat ; Fussy camera controls

It is reaching that time of year again where countless animated flicks are hitting theaters, and of course the barrage of tie-in games to follow along. Activision hits up one of the first with a game based on DreamWorks’ latest animated tale How to...

How to Train Your Dragon

How to Train Your Dragon has been hailed as one of Dreamworks' best films, a claim I tend to agree with. The plot wasn't anything particularly new or special (in fact, it bore a curious resemblance to Avatar, which itself was pretty derivative), but...

Sound and visuals are decent

No flying? Seriously ; A fighting game? Really ; And a bad, button-mashing fighting game at that ; Tedious fetch quests and boring “training” sessions ; Frequent loading screens

Terrible and disappointing in almost every way. If you're any kind of fan of the film, you're much better off playing Panzer Dragoon or Spyro.

How to Train Your Dragon

Sounds like decent fun for a game targeted at children, but even young ones will have a hard time discovering any enjoyment. Every core game feature and mechanic is either too boring or too tedious for the younger gamer this title is obviously geared...

Customizing your Dragon

Horrible visuals ; Game play is boring and tedious ; Very little substance ; No story

How to Train You Dragon hurls itself to the top of the near endless heap of poor film-to-game adaptations. It is nothing more then an insult to expect gamers - or parents - to pay full price for what you get. Younger gamers will likely be confused with...

How to Train Your Dragon

Funny thing about videogames based on movies is that there's nothing funny about how much they suck. How to Train Your Dragon distinguishes itself by sucking less than expected.

Surprise! A videogame based on How to Train Your Dragon with all the box art allure of the kiddy movie of the same name, the same base premise but otherwise little in common with the plot or particulars of the film currently smashing up the box office.

How to Train Your Dragon- PS3

There's a good idea for a children's game somewhere in How to Train Your Dragon, and it can be spotted if one rummages through all the boring game modes, bad controls and embarrassing production values. It doesn't even work as a movie tie-in, since...

How to Train Your Dragon- PS3

You can make a fun game for kids, but this isn't one of them. The fights are robotic and lack any impact, the third-person wandering is boring, and so on. It's rare for a videogame to feel like a chore, but capturing 40 chickens and going through the...
