I Am Alive Review

Surprisingly, the long-awaited I Am Alive is a difficult game to accurately analyze. If you go search the available review scores, you'll see a range of 4.5 to 9 and just about everything in between. After playing, I've concluded that the reason is as...

I Am Alive Review

I'm gonna make salsa with my tomato.

Short play time but only $15; Stays simple with realistic situations

No fight control system when it’s really needed; Long climbing scenarios with few reviving supplies

Many people first caught glimpse of I Am Alive four years ago and I can’t say four years was worth the wait. It’s not that this is a bad game—that's hardly the case, as it’s worth buying simply if you like the post-apocalyptic genre. The survival and...

I Am Alive Review: A Bold Yet Frustrating Video Game Homage to The Road

Ubisoft's post-apocalyptic survival horror flounders underneath frustration.

See the child. Hear her beckon forth, surrounded by the carcasses of men harboring murderous intent. Men you ended. Their last breath whispering about the sweetness of a child, or the satisfaction of killing the interloper that you are. Save the child,...

I Am Alive

Years in the making at different studios, Ubisoft's I Am Alive brings the Xbox Live Arcade "House Party" to a close with a post-apocalyptic bang.

As a downloadable title, I Am Alive is a remarkable accomplishment. Not only does it create an atmospheric world that feels real enough to identify with, but it succeeds at delivering a unique experience geared towards an adult audience while...

I Am Alive- PS3

I Am Alive review: A new breed of survival horror?

A dead end, or end up dead? Your first meaningful contact with humanity in the ghost town of Haventon throws up a quandary that's typical of I Am Alive's obsession with fleetness of foot and fleetness of mind.

Superb atmosphere and musical score ; Consistently tense and nerve-wracking ; Lives system makes decisions matter

Frustrating and occasionally unfair ; Routes can be needlessly oblique ; Lack of resources makes it easy to snooker yourself

A survival game that dares to be different - for better and for worse. Tremendously haunting and poignant, but frustrates by demanding more accuracy than its mechanics can offer you.

Still Alive

I am a big fan of the Uncharted series and have always liked games such as Tomb Raider Underworld and Prince of Persia which have climbing, fighting and jumping as well as interesting storylines and good controls. So when I saw the trailer for I am...
