Kung Fu Panda

There are two heralds of summer here at Digital Entertainment World, being distracted from DVD reviews by awesome summer blockbusters in theaters, and then there are the crappy games those blockbusters spawn. While I still maintain that most of these...

Decent action game ; Both offer experiences that stand alone as games, not just as movie tie-ins

Some control issues for both games ; Nothing in depth enough to make for a long term experience

These are actually decent games that are tied into a movie, and a kids one at that, I'm still reeling from that fact alone. That really is impressive in itself, but if the kids are looking for more Kung Fu Panda, this game is worth the investment.

Game Review: Kung Fu Panda

I haven't touched a movie-based game since Spiderman: The Movie: The Game came out. I still remember beating the game and enjoying the ending, only to realize that the final cut scene was ruining the ending of the movie before the flick even came out!...

A rewarding kiddie cash-in! How so?

Great graphics for a cash-in ; Fun multiplayer scrapping ; Minigames to unlock

Crap voices ; Cliches galore ; Premise not for everyone

Even better, the movie’s martial arts theme has allowed Kung Fu Panda to double as a stupidly fun beat-‘em-up with charming and varied characters to control, and a huge helping of multiplayer arenas and minigames to unlock as you play. If the film...

Their Kung Fu is Strong

Not all licensed kids' games have to be bad. Luxoflux proves it with Kung Fu Panda.

Kung Fu Panda just shows that some keen design self-restrictions, a willingness to mix things up and an approach to visuals and sound that roundly reject the idea that they have to be pared down just because they're a kids game. The game feels like it...

Kung Fu Panda (PS3) | Gaming Illustrated

SYNOPSIS: With the release of the blockbuster summer hit, Kung Fu Panda comes to the video game world.  Allowing gamers to play through elements of the movie, they can master what it takes to be a Kung Fu Panda.  Featuring 13 levels you eventually have...

I actually liked playing this game.  I know, I know - it's a movie game and we usually groan at these things (outside of X-men titles) but this one was pretty good.  The graphics for PlayStation 3 with Kung Fu Panda were really good on 1080p, and the...

Kung Fu Panda

Well now, show me a tie-in video game to a movie and I'll show you a piece of ad marketing just to make money off of the film.

Kung Fu Panda is a fun game that shows very good attention to level design and creative game making. You don't have to be a kid to enjoy this one folks because it will appeal to a wide audience.

Kung Fu Panda

The general opinion of movie-based videogames is often quite negative. The disappointment of going from the cinematic delights of the big screen to the under-developed, rushed mess of the television screen has been documented a thousand times by irate...

Kung Fu Panda

There's nothing quite like gathering the family together on the couch, firing up the oh-so wholesome Wii and then beating the crap out of all creatures great and small. And cuddly.

Here's a rarity: a good movie-based videogame. Activision's Kung Fu Panda, based on the DreamWorks film of the same name (duh), has all the hallmarks of a totally derivative platform-hopping, bauble-collecting, puzzle-solving brawler, but elevates...

Kung Fu Panda PlayStation 3 Review

Since the release of E.T for the Atari 2600 in 1982, video games based on movies have gotten a pretty bad rap - and for good reason. Often under developed, rushed, and simply not fun, these quick cash-ins are the lowest of the low in the video game...

Vibrant, colorful graphics; pick up and play action is accessible and fun; marketed to a casual, younger crowd, yet still has some depth

Fairly short; not very challenging

You play as Po, a kung fu loving panda, on his quest to become the legendary dragon warrior. Along with "The Furious Five", a band of combat savvy critters, Kung Fu Panda spans across 13 levels that jump right out from the movie. The main baddie of the...
