Madden NFL 11

As I mentioned as I keyed the introduction, this was never going to be a review that could succinctly sum up the accuracies of the sport to game translation. Scoring Madden 11 leaves me in a difficult position. It would be unfair for me to rate it...

A huge variety of game modes; Presentation is top notch; Playflow removes some complexity

Difficult to get into as a newbie; Games take a while to complete; The micro transaction grab is in your face

Once into the action though it's here that the newbie status really starts to hit home. Madden is somewhat inaccessible to anyone who isn't familiar with how the game is played. Even with a basic understanding of how American Football works, it can...

EA Sports has done it again. They've found a way to improve their game in ways that you didn't think needed improving, and in the process got that $60 out of your pocket for another year.

It's August, and for sports fans that means two things: the National Football League pre-season has begun and there's a new Madden game on the market. Both, however, are pretty anti-climatic.

As long time Madden fans will know, improvements from year to year come in small doses. This year is no different, with but one new main feature, some minor tweaks to artificial intelligence and a whole lot of deja-vu in Maddel NFL 11's...

Another year has gone by and here comes another version of the Madden NFL series from Electronic Arts. I often ponder why people upgrade to the next year's copy of Madden, purely for the roster update. Thankfully, I don't have to ask that question...

Madden NFL 11 Review

Finally, a Madden that feels different.

Cuts the between-play fat while keeping football authenticity; improves the passion and excitement of the atmosphere

Still full of those frustrating "Madden moments" of inexplicable fumbles, BS holding calls, and miracle computer-controlled comebacks

But, yeah, I'll go ahead and admit it: I don't know exactly how Madden 11 will hold up for me over the next year. But I do know that, unlike most years, I really feel the improvements instead of just reading about them in a press release or seeing them...

In the world of professional football, there are very few uncertainties, just ask any team that Brett Favre has ever played for. But just as surely as Detroit Lions fans will be hanging their head in shame every Sunday, a Madden game is sure to come...

So there ya' go...a zero. This is NOT how you treat gamers.

Baseball may be America's past time, but there is no denying the NFL now rules the majority of America's sporting hearts. With this

I would imagine the pressure to deliver year in and year out on the developers of the Madden series has to be tremendous. This year I think the storyboard ideas for this year’s game sounded great and some of them turned out to be quite solid additions....

EA Sports set a new bar with Madden NFL 10. New visuals mixed with good commentary mixed with other essentials put last year's Madden ahead of the pack. Now what can they do for an encore? Where do I begin?

Madden NFL 11- PS3

Madden NFL 11 redefines the way you experience the game of football. It's simpler: From 350 plays down to 1, the all-new GameFlow system puts you in the helmet of an NFL quarterback to execute an authentic, situational game plan, one play at a time....
