Mario Party 9 (PS3)

Addition of vehicles is a surprising, unexpected success ; Consistent, enjoyable minigames ; Polished Party mode

Solo mode is terrible ; Still has the feeling, and execution, of a second tier Nintendo title

There's still a whiff of exploitation, but at least Mario and co appear to be enjoying themselves at their latest do. Refreshing, but there's potential for even better things next time.
