The classic Real Estate Trading Game re-invests in the console space in 2008, with Electronic Arts rolling the dice. This interactive edition of Monopoly features smooth 3D graphics, expressive animations, and ten stylized game boards with themes such as

If the idea of playing a board game seems too last century this virtual edition might be worth a look, but be aware that this is only ever going to be second best.

Nicely presented ; Plays a good game of Monopoly

Some menus are cluttered and hard to read ; Not so easy to play with unorthodox rules

EA has managed to produce a competent virtual version of the classic board game, but we still can't recommend it over buying the real thing. You get numerous boards and the questionable Get Rich Quick mode, but you lose so much by not being able to...

The world seems to be going crazy about revamping old board games at the moment. Michael Bay is making Battleship into a movie (Pearl Harbour 2? That's just sadistic), Pirates helmer Gore Verbinski is doing Cluedo and Sir Ridley Scott himself is taking...

Up to four players using one or multiple remotes ; Plenty of rules to change to your liking ; The game functions very well ; Raise your Wii remote to bet during auctions ; A couple of nice updates like the World board ; Can still play as the car, hat,...

You constantly feel rushed ; The Richest Edition is too complex and dull ; Single players can't skip the computer's turn ; Rules can be changed but not broken ; No internet options or competitions ; Can't silence the background music or host ; You...

Still, if you have the choice, it's better just to buy the real board game.

If you've never played a game of Monopoly, then you've either been living in a cave, coveting the one ring, or your parents didn't love you. Games like Monopoly, Scrabble and Cluedo were invented for families to get together and have some quality time...

overall i find this game an absolute disappointment

no cheating

You can't see the actual properties like on monopoly for computers. The music and monopoly man are annoying and don't turn off. Its too small to see clearly on screen

Just bought the Wii Monopoly - fun game, but beware playing the AI on Hard, I had a recent experience where the AI would not stop offering deals. I simply could not continue the game - because I did not accept any of his one sided deals. After 30...

Easy to play - and fun for the entire family

Bug related to the harder AI - that I mention in my comments

Poor effort,

Beats keeping track of every last irrelevent detail and making sure there's no cheating going on

No online gameplay ; You have to wait around while the computer players make there slow roles and moves ; The Gameplay is slowed even further by pathetic, repetitive animations

This game is fun but it gives me eye strain.

The game moves quickly and the rules of the game are always adhered to. It's a fun game

It's hard to read the print on the screen ; It is hard to see everthing that is happening on the board
