NBA 2k9

I'd easily recommend this game to anyone interested in shooting some hoops. This is the best game of the genre out there, at least until the next batch.

-Top notch visual quality., -Announcers get the job done better than any sports game to date., -Player animations are astounding., -Association mode is addictive, fan or not., -Online play is lag-free and highly populated., -Living roster is a neat...

-Overwhelming controls.

The gap between EA and 2K's basketball games is slowly closing, and I feel that some of this is 2K's fault more than a giant leap forward by the competition. While 2K9 can be a fluid, responsive title, the lack of smoothness in the low post game is...

NBA 2K9 (PS3) Review

All in all, 2K9 is a great basketball game. The game has set new standards for visuals and sound in a sports game, and I think it could be quite a while before somebody tops those efforts. With the gameplay as fun as it is, 2K9 could be a constant...

NBA 2k9 Review

Has the 2K Sports team delivered another gem? Or have they taken a proven formula and left it broken?

NBA 2k9 delivers a well balanced basketball title, but not without its fair share of problems. A broken online and rubberband AI that will have you pulling your hair out keep the title from being the gem we once hoped for.

A new killer idea for sports games.

Franchise (the 'Association') and online modes still offer more than enough ways to spend your time. The biggest addition here is mirrored in 2K's NHL 2K9 hockey game, and that's playing online with a live player for everyone on the court - 10 on 10....

NBA 2K9

I had a great time with two friends last year as we played through our NBA 2K8 season over the course of several months. We've been looking forward to NBA 2K9 since, and now it's finally here, and our new season has begun. The best game for NBA...

NBA 2K9 (PS3)

NBA 2K9 suffers from an identity crisis. While 2K Sports continues to claim to strive for authenticity with its flagship basketball title, the game itself doesn't necessarily reflect that. It's massively geared towards the offense, yet has a control...
