Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 Review

Primates took time to evolve too.

Total Control; Gives you room for improvement; Fun scoring celebrations

Not yet worth the full price; Lack of licensing

This simulation arcade game is mostly for those who have had a liking for the game in past years, or maybe have become bored with FIFA and want something different. If the price went down a bit, I’d say it’s worth buying outright. If not, save your...

Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 Review

Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 embraces the series' past to create a wonderfully technical and supremely satisfying game of football.

Slower pace gives you more control ; Much improved ball physics ; New defending system is more natural to use ; Plays a great, classically scrappy game of football

New moves are tricky to master ; Untouched single- and multiplayer modes beginning to show their age ; Dreary and dated presentation ; Terrible commentary

Still, while its presentation and game modes fall further behind the competition, PES 13 has made improvements where it really counts. There's a fabulously entertaining football game at its heart, one that finally lives up to the high standards of the...

Konami's latest installment in the popular Pro Evo franchise is a definite return to form.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2010

Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer franchise was once a power player in the sports game space. Lately, not so much with the power, though PES 2010 is a somewhat improved outing (that still doesn't matter).

Konami used to offer the better soccer game with the Pro Evolution Soccer series (aka Winning Eleven Soccer), or PES for short, but then Electronic Arts stepped up and offered some killer soccer in the EA Sports FIFA franchise and Konami struggled to...

Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 has rolled out for the PlayStation 3 and immediately hit the back of the net by topping the charts in the number 1 spot in the UK. Find out if this is the best football game out there in this review.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2010

This year's Pro Evo improves upon its predecessor in some key areas, but it does little else to keep up with the competition.

Improved online mode with reduced lag problems ; Slower simulation-style gameplay ; Improved Master League mode with Champions League integration ; Excellent player likenesses

Only one major new game mode ; Team style and playing style cards do little to change the game ; Not enough improvement to the core gameplay ; Animation system is showing its age ; Atrocious commentary

Pro Evolution Soccer 2010

A slightly disappointing result

Looks fantastic ; Reworked Master League ; Nice tweaks to player maneuvers

Lacks the thrills of 2009 ; Ineffective through-ball ; Incompetent goal keepers

In regard to game modes, it’s largely as you were with a full Champions League to play through plus all the usual league, cup and quick match options. Master League has finally been reworked too. Whether it’s enough to keep long-time PES players' eyes...

Pro Evolution Soccer 2010

Many people I have spoken to say there's no point in buying the same game, year after year, after all it can't be that different can it? Then of course there is the big footie game debate: Fifa or Pro Evolution Soccer (PES). Well I'm not here to tell...

Pro Evolution Soccer 2010

The Pro Evolution Soccer series, so dominant on the last generation of consoles, has struggled to hit the same level of form on the current generation. To make matters even more uncomfortable for Shingo "Seabass" Takatsuka and team, the FIFA series has...

If the last few instalments in the Pro Evolution Soccer series have given the impression of the series being in decline, then Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 indicates that it's on the way back, even if it's only a small step in the right direction. There...
