Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One (PlayStation 3)

It's all a matter of perspective. When you compare All 4 One to previous Ratchet & Clank games, you might think the biggest change is the addition of a cooperative mode. But given that you could team up in Ratchet: Deadlocked, that isn't quite true....

Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One

The Ratchet & Clank series has been one that has been around for longer than you think. Stretching back to the days of the PlayStation 2, the games' mixture of guns and humour has built up a steady audience but never quite seems to have hit the big times.

Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One

All 4 One feels a lot like a somewhat watered down version of past games in the series. It has the color scheme and voiceovers you've come to know and love, but it never reaches the levels of A Crack in Time, the duo's most impressive game.

The obvious request for cheats would be to include one to upgrade all weapons instantly or infinite health. We'll let you know if we find any.

Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One

Multiplayer action provides a diverting addition to a long-running franchise.

Still, there’s something lost in the balancing of All 4 One so it can be played alone or with others. Solo play loses, the constant presence of the other characters’ personalities, which truly sets this episode of Ratchet apart. With multiple players...

Co-op play is a blast ; Wonderful environments ; Trademarked humor

Fixed camera issues ; Playing alone ; Frantic action distorts view

One stellar franchise has always allowed us to relax and smile. It's challenging without being frustrating and colorful without being kiddy. It's genuinely humorous and often highly creative and inventive. It's Ratchet & Clank and we've already seen...

Ratchet and Co. return to the PS3, this time with Nefarious in tow! Does this multiplayer adventure pull through? Read our All 4 One review.

Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time represents the pinnacle of the Ratchet & Clank series, so All 4 One feels like a step backwards. But the fun multiplayer components and laugh-out-loud story make Ratchet and Clank's latest journey a worthy one,...

Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One Review

Change is not always for the better, but Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One provides enough delightful moments to offset its shortcomings.

A variety of enjoyable activities ; Teaming up with three friends is fun ; Smart puzzles require coordination ; Fast-moving vehicle sequences

Shooting is usually dull ; Some tedious boss fights ; Fixed camera creates problems

Variety is the biggest strength in All 4 One. Previous games had a tendency to offer too many distractions from the innate joy of shooting robotic foes. But now that the shooting mechanics aren't as satisfying, diversity is welcome, and every situation...
