Remember Me Review

Remember Me tried to be something it unfortunately isn't. …that may be the worst opening sentence for any review I've ever written, but it sprang to mind, word for word, after playing Dontnod Entertainment's new game. Therefore, it's fitting. It also...

The Ugly: “It’s always hard to see such great ambition fall so short, because you know the designers really reached for the stars.”

Remember Me PS3 Review

Imagine if your memories were able to be remixed, giving you the chance to remember things differently to how they were in reality, impacting on who you are in the present day. How about if you could relive happy memories over and over again? meaning...

Remember Me’s gameplay is more than functional but is elevated by a lavish world, an interesting heroine and an intricate and cleverly constructed universe that makes it into something more memorable than it otherwise would have been.

Remember Me (Xbox 360 / PS3) Review

Remember Me maliciously leaps into the future combating not only through a physical world, but a mental one as well. It's a rare find, a unique twist on the action-adventure genre... Cyberpunks, this one is for you.

Memory rearranging is ultra-cool ; Unique and stylized plot and art direction ; Plot keeps you guessing, even if the core mechanics do not ; Strong and imaginative characters for the most part

Combat and platforming can be “clunky” at times ; Needs more exploration, very limited ; Aside from the tricks, the graphics are muddy and at times flavorless

Remember Me is a unique inclusion into the standard action adventure genre. Rich in atmosphere, this memory wiping cyberpunk adventure has enough creativity and core elements to keep players invested. While it might only be good for one run, the story...

Remember Me Review

A new IP? Or have I forgotten the original?

Remember Me" has a great story, with some fantastic ideas, undermined by the fact it leans too heavily on what it does poorly. If every level ended with a memory reconstruction, rather than a tedious boss fight this could have been one of my favourite...

Remember Me

The visuals leave a fantastic impression that won't soon be forgotten, but the generic characters may be..

As a final side note, the review copy I had suffered from a weird glitch with sound in cutscenes (that I am certain will not be in the final versions). It would create a strange echo effect that actually made the scenes seem more perfect, like you had...
