Rock Band 2 (PlayStation 3)

The first Rock Band revolutionized the way music games were played; however, its sequel is more of an evolutionary step forward. A huge song list and the ability to play World Tour mode online are the biggest attractions--very little else has changed....

Rock Band 2

Harmonix's sequel expands, matures, and grows... kind of like your music folder.

Online and solo support for World Tour; tons of new music; fun Battle of the Bands mode

A phenomenal game, but ultimately, it's still more of a monolithic expansion pack than a sequel

Playstation 3 - Rock Band 2 E3 2008 Preview

They're starting by packing 84 excellent songs on the disc. The songs vary from Classic Rock to Indie to Metal and just about every other sub-genre in between. They're by some big name bands like AC/DC, Bob Dylan, Dream Theater, Guns ‘n' Roses,...

Good fun, but be patient with children...

We bought this product, and an additional Rock Band guitar for our 10-year-old girl as it was on her Christmas list. My wife comes from a musically-inclined family, and I have played instruments since age 10 (33 now), and currently play real drums as...

When you learn the basics of the instruments, you'll find yourself 'getting into' character while playing. A strong sense of accomplishment when the group finishes a song (especially with children). Fun every time you play

Learning curve is steep for children, or those who have never played an instrument. Drum kit is difficult to get on time with (more later), and moves easily on smooth floors

Rockband/Rockband 2: stupidest/most pointless game ever

where do I begin? The interface is a Dance Dance Revolution ripoff (DDR is stupid and pointless enough already, which is another discussion) which is not conducive to playing. The controls are either not responsive enough or too responsive thus not...

I cannot think of anything good to say about this game

clunky interface, clunky controllers, overall stupidity/pointlessness
