Rock Band is more than just an evolution of Guitar Hero. We explain why inside.

Hardware issues are annoying, yes, but with a killer single player mode, great online multiplayer and the promise of dozens of individual tracks and complete albums, the game more than pays for itself out of the box.

There are also some online modes, but alas the ever cool World Tour Mode isn't available anywhere but local multiplayer. This only makes sense as technology still isn't quite there in order to stream vocals very well, I mean just listen to the delay in...

Hard. Rock. Hallelujah

You know there are improvements to be made and there are some niggles, but as it stands, Rock Band is the most crucial rhythm-action game since the original Guitar Hero, and a damn sight better to boot. Absolutely superb.
