Sega Superstars Tennis Review for the XBOX360

Nope, not even Love.

Stylish court designs; Nostalgic music and characters; Basic tennis game works

but is far too basic.; Lots of repetitive, throwaway mini-games; Unbalanced special moves; Exceedingly short; Just play the classic games instead

I know what you’re dreaming. If you had the chance to break out all of your favorite Sega characters from The Nursing Home For Retired Mascots, you wouldn't recast them in the classic titles they come from and gleefully play those titles one more time....

Sega Superstars Tennis Review

Outside of Nintendo, few videogame companies have the depth and variety of characters worthy of putting together a company-driven title you would want to play. Sega is in that rare breed that can pull it off, gleefully milking the warm and fuzzies out...

Many of the minigames are downright goofy, but it is hard to argue with the fun of knocking over zombies with tennis balls as Sonic's rotund arch-nemesis. The zombie filled minigame challenges of Curien Mansion are a blast, until the final offering...

Mini-games dominate Sega's nostalgic tennis game.

Good nostalgic kick ; Fun and creative mini-games

Questionable controls ; Repetitive single-player mode

Isn't that how it's done in real life too?

Sega fans will flip over the themed courses and mini games. Just don't expect this tennis match to last more than a few hours.

SEGA Superstars Tennis Review

Sonic and his SEGA associates finally take their turn on the tennis court...

Accesible and intuitive entertainment ; SEGA fanboys' wet-dream ; Entertaining mini-games

Shallow simplistic tennis ; Woefully weak challenge ; Where's Ryo Hazuki

As a compilation of all things SEGA and great we love SEGA Superstars Tennis, so it's quite a disappointment when the actual gameplay stumbles like Sonic on a banana skin. The lack of challenge and depth makes SEGA Superstars Tennis hard to stick...

Not everyone that owns a 360 is a fan of First Person Shooters. Yes I really did say it. While some of you may need a minute to get over the shock, I will continue for the rest. In a world full of shooters and racers it seems the only sports that get...

This is a good, fun game that any Sega fan will love - for a while. Once the challenges have been completed once, and you have played it for a few hours on multiplayer, I am just not sure that it has the staying power that is needed. It's one of the...

Imagine Virtua Tennis with Sega characters - you've just imagined this

Incredibly addictive minigames ; Brilliant unlockable characters ; Loads of retro unlockable courts

A bit basic at its core ; A few dodgy minigames ; Simplistic ball physics

So why doesn’t it score higher than Virtua Tennis? If you’re not that interested in the Sega stuff (say, you’re a confirmed miserabilist), SST plays a far more basic game, with simplified physics and reduced depth. If it didn’t have the thrill of...

REVIEW: We’d rather be invited to the Mario Party...

Solid tennis-gameplay mechanics

Dull activities.; Hella easy

Isn’t the Samba de Amigo music supposed to make you happy? It made us mental.
