Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution Review [PS3, Wii, X360]

Civilization has always been one of the greatest RTS series on the PC. Over the years its become a trend to port PC titles to console titles to try to replicate their success. This usually fails horribly *cough cough sputter sputter* Supreme Commander.

Well ported to consoles ; 4 very different conditions for victory ; Many creative ways to capture cities

You have to deal with every realm of study whether you want to or not ; Animations giving instructions cover text ; AI seems prejudice against the player

There are certain aspects of Civilization Revolution that you may scratch your head over, such as not being able to choose a win condition or why the computer picks on you and you only. But these small problems don't hinder a great experience.

Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution Nintendo DS Review

Create a world in your image with single-player scenarios or on a random map. Depending on the difficulty level, your game can be a quick sweep of destruction across the land or a drawn out conflict ruled by strategic decisions. In addition, wireless...

Fast pace, less micromanaging, four ways to win, Game of the Week, bonuses for discovering a technology first

Game almost plays for you, requires heavy use of short-term memory, cannot set-up victory conditions or customize random maps

If happiness is a warm gun,Civilization Revolution is sure to cause shouts of glee from DS owners across the world. Filled with an arsenal from ancient and modern times, it's your ticket to handheld world domination. Thank you Sid Meier, thank you.

Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution

Sid Meier is generally considered to be a pioneer of games. From Pirates! and the first Civilization game, through to Railroad Tycoon, Alpha Centauri and the later Civ games, Meier and Firaxis have gone from strength to strength as they release...

Fun, simple and addictive, this game is a worth-while addition to the 360 roster, but is a little light. Hardcore Civ fans may want to stick to the PC versions, but newcomers will feel right at home. Still, it's probably better to pick this up cheaply...

Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution

Anyone who's ever played a Civilization game (particularly the two most recent PC titles) will know how much of a time-sink they can be. The most epic games can last for hours and hours on end – hardly ideal for a modern console audience. With Meier...

A sensibly tweaked version of the classic PC strategy series, CivilizationRevolution doesn't offer the same level

Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution

Civilization Revolution is a fantastic, frantic combination of pretty much all the highlights of previous Civilization titles rolled into one single package. Finally, a worthy way to experience Sid Meier's legendary franchise on your console!

Quick rounds, whimsical character animation, huge depth of play, multiple challenging ways to win, balanced combat, and they've actually succeeded in making it all easy to control

Occasional graphical bugs, some questionable AI moves

I haven't ever owned a Civilization game before, and when I played this itwas fun and very addictive. However I quickly ran out of different things totry and do. Also due to the reletively short length of matches it becamerepetitive. If you have never...

Not as challenging as previous CIV games."

I was pretty excited to get my hands on this game and maybe that's whyI felt a little let down by it in the end. Most of the Civ games I have played involve some sort of strategy althoughwith this game I found myself clicking about two buttons and just...
