Siren: Blood Curse

I'm a man who likes his blood and gore in movies and video games. When I need a fix of violence, I go and play Gears of War or Ninja Gaiden, and sit transfixed by how much bodily damage I am doing with the weapons in my possession. However, when it...

A good survival/horror game that enthusiast will be pleased to play. With such a drought in the genre, it's good to see a new game released with such a unique touch of tension.

SIREN: Blood Curse Game Review - Playstation 3

Siren is an interesting game in a lot of ways, but the first and most obvious of these is the way in which it is distributed. It is a downloadable game, divided up into 12 episodes. You can purchase the game in three packs of four episodes for Siren...

If you want to be creeped out, this game will do it

It's a downloadable game, you can't rent it

Siren: Blood Curse is a re-imagining of the original PS2 game, so the story is similar, but not quite the same as the original. If you’ve never played the PS2 version, there’s nothing to worry about, since no prior knowledge of the series is needed. ...

Siren: Blood Curse - PS3 review at Thunderbolt Games

The original Siren (Forbidden Siren in Europe) was released on the PlayStation 2 back in 2003 when it was competing with survival horror's best: Silent Hill and Resident Evil. Now, in 2008, things are a little bit different for the PlayStation 3...

Siren: Blood Curse

I was excited by the notion of a survival horror game coming to the PSN, but was very under whelmed by Siren. This was because of lackluster and often

Siren is a game that was an experiment of sorts in the realm of downloadable and episodic games. I would have to say on most accounts that the game failed. With an incredibly long download time, and install time we don’t get to start playing until...

Siren: Blood Curse

12 bite-sized chunks of pure horror in PS3 Network's first 'proper' game

Frying pans, axes and shotguns ; PS3's scariest game yet ; Bite-sized episodic content

Not a massive leap from the original ; Defiantly slow-paced ; Episodes a little too bite-sized

Our main criticism of Blood Curse is how short the episodes are. You can storm through each one in just under an hour, and some take less time still. That said, there is some incentive for replay in the form of the game’s archives. When you finish a...

Siren: Blood Curse

The PlayStation 2 had its fair share of survival-horror titles that could scare the pants off you but the first two Siren games (called Forbidden Siren and Forbidden Siren 2) were among the most scary of them all. Like the Silent Hill games the fear...

You can purchase the game in a couple of ways. You can either buy it the traditional way, and we've found the game from online stores for around £18, or you can choose to download from the PlayStation Store for £19.99 for the entire game or as four...

Siren: Blood Curse PS3 Review

Other than the monstrosities that make up the monster designs of a survival horror game, as a whole the genre is short on innovation. The Siren series though, is a genuinely fresh experience.

With Siren: Blood Curse, the series remains as one of the most inventive survival horror games in existence, but is fine tuned so as to make it a bit more gentler and far less frustrating. Quite simply, Siren: Blood Curse could be the start of...

Siren: Blood Curse (PS3)

A full game cut into bloody chunks.

In the end this game is a very enjoyable fright fest, relying more on the overall tension and ambiance of the game rather than stand out shock moments. It has a decent story and allows the player to chose how much to get involved with this. The...

Siren Blood Curse (PS3) review

It all depends on your point of view

Survival-horror fans will probably enjoy Blood Curse’s clumsy mechanics and clichéd setting, especially at this price, but we’re not prepared to excuse it. The flagship title of episodic gaming on the PSN ought to know better.
