Street Fighter X Tekken (PlayStation 3)

Capcom loves crossovers. Its world warriors have faced down the X-Men, the Avengers, the King of Fighters, and many others. With Street Fighter X Tekken, the stylish cast of Tekken fighters is next in line to go blow for blow with Ryu and company. It's...

Both Capcom and Namco have created some fantastic crossovers in the past, which is one of the reasons why Street Fighter X (or Cross) Tekken was so intriguing. However, the most fascinating thing about these particular series being combined into a...

SFXT falls short in a number of ways, but it falls hardest is with its audio. Given that it combines two fighting series with usually great soundtracks, having this game just use a bunch of generic techno hurts it a lot. No signature songs from either...

Street Fighter X Tekken Review: A clash of rosters, a merger of skill

Luke Brown reviews SF X Tekken, which crosses Capcom and Namco's greatest characters in a game that rewards skill-based fighting over button mashing.

There's no denying Street Fighter X Tekken's impressiveness. As one of the richest fighting games to come from Capcom in recent years, the title more than stands out compared to its predecessors. It's not anywhere near as friendly to the average...

The visuals look like a slightly cleaned up version of what we saw in Super Street Fighter IV, and it still works. There are some localization issues, and load times are persistently bad throughout the fight screens.

I'd love to see a cheat for unlimited gems, so I would be able to customize my character the exact way I want to. I'd also love a one touch super combo button and an unlimited meters mode.

Let's get this out of the way first: Street Fighter X Tekken is a solid fighting game that makes some small, but welcome improvements to the

This is a solid fighting game, and I do mean solid. The systems in place are cool, but business, including twelve on disc characters that are locked as DLC, balance, and technical issues make it hard for me to recommend this game to anyone. Hardcore...

Two iconic franchises should, almost by default, make sweet music when brought together. And for the most part, that sentiment is true for Capcom's recent crossover effort, Street Fighter X Tekken. But after playing for a while, there was this nagging...

Massive roster ; Technical and deep fighting ; Lots of fan service ; Looks great

Gem system seems flawed ; Online needs tweaks

I never thought I would see the day where Ryu hurled fireballs at Heihachi. Capcom is famous for its crossover games dating back as early as X-Men vs. Street Fighter, but I never thought we would see two powerhouse fighters come together quite like...

The latest Capcom fighting game has fast and fluid mechanics, but feels like a starter pack for more content.

I enjoy double-crossing.

Solid tag team crossover; Translates Tekken characters extremely well; Fun for casual, still has depth for hardcore; Great for co-op play and parties; Customizable gem system

but can't disable completely or acquire new gems without paying for them; Lacks some options

Also, it's still strange that you don't have control of several mainstay options, like being able to turn the music completely off, toggle guard damage, change the damage rate, or alter the speed. Not for ranked online battles certainly, but for...

All of your favorite fighters from both the Street Fighter and Tekken franchises duke it out in this awesome fighter.

The fast pace of the combat and fluidity of the tag mechanics truly bring Street Fighter X Tekken to the top of the fighting game heap. The Gem system is a fine addition that manages to do something daring by offering some new strategy to the fighting,...
