The Golden Compass (PlayStation 3)

The Golden Compass for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owes a lot to 2005's The Chronicles of Narnia. Like Narnia, it is a game based on a film based on a fantasy novel, and it even goes so far as to summarily lift hunks of gameplay directly from the...

It's not the worst game based on a movie, but it's close.

The Daemon and the Alethiometer gameplay add little excitement to a tedious game

Slow and repetitive gameplay; bad voice acting and cut-scene audio; no camera control

The curse of the movie license.

Looks awful; Plays worse; Sounds terrible; Plot like a hole in the ground that you dump precious hours of your life into; Inspires homicidal urges in the most patient anglophiles

The Golden Compass- PS3

This is a very unusual game. The first thing I noticed was that you can't see the screen from all angles. (Unless that's only me!). It has a variety of 'mini games' in deception mode which I found very annoying. On the plus side, the graphics are...
