The Incredible Hulk (PlayStation 3)

If there's one lesson to be learned from Sega's The Incredible Hulk movie-based game, it's that Hulk is a big bully. When tasked with containing a radioactive outbreak that could potentially eliminate all life within his city, he is just as likely to...

While crashing through a nondescript re-creation of New York City, you begin your accent up a nondescript building on a nondescript mission to take out “X” number of generators that are powering some nefarious deeds. Two nondescript enemies attack you,...

It's not broken; Dude, Ed Norton's in it; Over fairly quickly

Dull, repetitious gameplay; PS2 HD graphics; Terrible boss battles

The gameplay itself is literally a smashing good time. You can destroy pretty much anything in the environment and probably use it as a weapon, too. Hulk can upgrade his abilities through the use of Feats, which require you to kill a certain number of...

A chaotic thrill to be Hulk ; Non-vocal audio is engaging

Horrid voice acting ; Corporate achievement schemes

Still, The Incredible Hulk offers plenty to do, but everything usually narrows down to smashing. The formula's worked for years, and it works in this game too. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to find something to smash.

With Marvel and the film business having another stab at making a decent Hulk movie, it was inevitable that a game tie-in was on the cards, and refreshingly (unlike the recent Iron Man game), The Incredible Hulk aint half bad. It's a confusing mess at...

If Bruce Banner played this game he'd feel too sleepy to get angry.

Provides a wide-open sandbox environment for Hulk to run around and destroy; Hulk model looks decent

Repetitive gameplay with lots of bugs and clipping issues; a bland and joyless sandbox to play in

System crashes won't stop you from enjoying Hulk Theft Auto

Everything can be destroyed ; Fight film and comic villains ; Multiple Hulk costumes

Hulk is sluggish early on ; Missions are unimaginative ; The game freezes too much

While annoying, the lock-ups don't really do much to dampen how outlandishly fun the game is. If you like the Hulk and you enjoying destroying things, you'll enjoy your time with The Incredible Hulk, even if you have to reset the system from time to time.

The Incredible Hulk (PS3)

The Incredible Hulk was never the biggest seller for Marvel Comics and the Stan Lee/Jack Kirby comic book factory. In fact, the original comic series with a gray, not yet green, monster was aborted after a mere half-dozen issues in 1962. Part Golem,...

The Incredible Hulk

Marvel's gamma-grown, green gargantuan crashes onto PlayStation 3 with Sega's The Incredible Hulk. You control the stalwart superhero through a free-roaming Manhattan as he battles the U.S. military, the scientist-led Enclave, and the supervillain group k

Product Specifications

Dr. Robert Bruce Banner was a genius nuclear physicist when one fateful day, his life changed forever. While supervising the trial of an experimental gamma bomb for the U.S. defense department, a teenager accidentally wandered onto the testing field and Banner made the split-second decision to save him. After shoving young Rick Jones to safety in a nearby ditch, Banner was struck full-force by the gamma energy. Soon after the blast, Banner noticed horrifying changes within him. Whenever he became angry, he transformed into a phenomenally destructive beast known as The Hulk. Fueled by an unfathomable fury, The Hulk can climb buildings, leap incredible distances, throw cars like they were toys and of course, crush anything in his path with his trademark Hulk Smash. Relentlessly pursued by warmongers who dream of abusing his powers, The Hulk will never stop searching for the antidote and never stop fighting to get his life back. Attack enemies with street lights, hurl manhole covers, jump on the sidewalk and use the broken concrete to your advantage - anything and everything can be used as a weapon.
