Both the original Splinter Cell and Pandora Tomorrow have their merits if you're looking for a trip down memory lane, but their structural approaches to the stealth genre are redundant now in the face of advancements in the genre.

If you're new to the series and want to see what all the fuss is about, Splinter Cell Trilogy HD is still a decent stealth package. It should be much better, though - and that's why it's hard to recommend it as strongly as the games themselves deserve.
