Transformers: War for Cybertron (PlayStation 3)

The tagline for the Transformers cartoon boldly claimed that there is more to these robot beings than meets the eyes. Unfortunately, the latest game in which these ever-changing aliens star offers much less than its shiny exterior promises. This flashy...

Transformers: War for Cybertron

Transformers: War for Cybertron is a third person shooter based around the Generation 1 Transformers. (See? I warned you!!) The story takes place on their home planet of Cybertron before they left for Earth (which is the point from where the 80's...

G1 Transformers, and faithful to the lore of the cartoon (which like most of 80’s vintage, is in itself an admittedly cynical marketing tool to sell pre existing toys) ; Well…it is the best Transformers game to date, for what that’s worth ; Can play as...

Even less impressive than other third person shooters on the market currently…and that’s saying something ; Wholly reliant on nostalgia – without a strong affection for the brand marketing prior to purchase, this doesn’t have much of a leg to stand on

While it’s pretty cool for TF fans to transform from robot to car or plane the first few times, it grows rather thin rather quickly. That said, you don’t really need to switch form very often – for example, the only time you need to switch to vehicle...

Transformers: War for Cybertron

I'm not sure that a genuine, unbiased critical evaluation is really possible forTransformers, unless the person doing the evaluation was either born in the early '90s or didn't have a TV during the '80s. War for Cybertron involves Peter Cullen doing...

It's not bad, exactly, and a lot of people are going to have fun with it just by virtue of the fact that they get to play as an awesome Transformer. It's just not as good as it could be.

Imagine a cooking show that showed you what to do, and then could see you doing it. The game could offer helpful advice on how to stir, or slice. Think about a sermon where you interact with the pastor while learning about the Holy Bible. Nike+ Kinect...

not worth the money

it is very different from the other consoles as all you can do is point and shoot. That is it. You can not even control your movement.

it can be fun if you look at it a certain way

worse than the last one ; controls very limited

Give this game a try its fun! Trust me!

Many websites compare this game to its HD counterpart: Transformers: War for Cybertron and review this game bad! Its a completely different game that people should try out before talking smack about this game. Its really fun but it is somewhat short.

Decent Graphics ; Easy to learn ; Fun To Play ; Good Audio ; Good Plot ; Kid Appropriate

Its somewhat short ; No online multiplayer

Not like War for Cybertron, but fun.

Basically a railshooter. It's decent, but not worth much more than $25. Get it only if you're a serious fan of the series.

Easy to learn

No Online Play ; Poor/No Multiplayer Mode ; Too Short
