Transformers: War for Cybertron (PlayStation 3)

The tagline for the Transformers cartoon boldly claimed that there is more to these robot beings than meets the eyes. Unfortunately, the latest game in which these ever-changing aliens star offers much less than its shiny exterior promises. This flashy...

Transformers: War for Cybertron

Transformers: War for Cybertron is a third person shooter based around the Generation 1 Transformers. (See? I warned you!!) The story takes place on their home planet of Cybertron before they left for Earth (which is the point from where the 80's...

G1 Transformers, and faithful to the lore of the cartoon (which like most of 80’s vintage, is in itself an admittedly cynical marketing tool to sell pre existing toys) ; Well…it is the best Transformers game to date, for what that’s worth ; Can play as...

Even less impressive than other third person shooters on the market currently…and that’s saying something ; Wholly reliant on nostalgia – without a strong affection for the brand marketing prior to purchase, this doesn’t have much of a leg to stand on

While it’s pretty cool for TF fans to transform from robot to car or plane the first few times, it grows rather thin rather quickly. That said, you don’t really need to switch form very often – for example, the only time you need to switch to vehicle...

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron (Xbox 360 / PS3) Review

Charged with energon, High Moon Studios roll out with other robotic struggle between the Autobots and Decepticons.

Great atmosphere and fan service ; Narrative is interesting and feels impending ; Exceptional production ; Game feels great to play, again we actually feel like a gigantic robot ; All basics are covered; this is a full “Transformers” experience ;...

Campaign playtime is short ; Co-Op and character selection has been removed ; Could have used more MP maps

Shooting to save Cybertron, High Moon saves the day with another astonishing Transformers product. Fans, you will be delighted at the measure of “fandom” that 'Fall of Cybertron' absorbs while still being a very capable action-shooter adventure. This...

Transformers: War For Cybertron Review

Transformers: War For Cybertron does the right thing in neglecting the last two live-action flicks, and instead goes directly after the old-school fans; the guys (and gals) who stuck it out and experienced the franchise in its natural habitat -...

Classic Transformers story and setting; Great action-packed and varied gameplay; Great characterisation, and the constant bickering between the Decepticons is gold

Visually impressive, but still quite bland; Some weird gameplay glitches, like falling off the map; Vehicle controls can be a little bit 'floaty
