Aedis Eclipse: Generation of Chaos (PSP)

Aedis Eclipse is a game that demands a lot of patience, much like its predecessor, Generation of Chaos. Sometimes your patience is rewarded with deep tactical gameplay that almost makes it worth swimming through the game's inherent frustrations....

Aedis Eclipse: Generation of Chaos

Some of you may recall a little-known title released last year for the PSP called, Generation of Chaos. When we reviewed this hidden gem last year there were a few...

Incredibly Deep ; Sharp Visuals ; Tons of Customization

Almost Too Complicated ; Battle System Is Flawed ; Spotty AI

Aedis Eclipse: Generation of Chaos

A great new portable strategy RPG title from NIS America.

The audio in Aedis Eclipse: Generation of Chaos is also very good with the the music and voices fitting in very nicely. Gamers have the option of using the English or Japanese dialog tracks and both are acted out well, except when a skill is used. When...

Aedis Eclipse: Generation of Chaos

Ok, so when I heard that there was another Generation of Chaos game coming to the PlayStation Portable I was naturally skeptical. The first game didn't go over well with me thanks to the fact that it was near impossible to get into. There was literally...

I wish I could report in and say that Aedis Eclipse is leaps and bounds better than Generation of Chaos but sadly I can't. The gameplay does fair a tad better with the same amount of depth and improved functionality but random events and terrible AI...

Aedis Eclipse: Generation of Chaos

The Generation of Chaos series, developed by Japanese firm Idea Factory, has seen success in Japan, but it hasn't been able to catch on in the Western Hemisphere. In Aedis Eclipse, the second PSP installment of the series, nothing's really changed.

Aedis Eclipse: Generation of Chaos

What do you get when you mix Advance Wars, some Final Fantasy Tactics gameplay, lots of strategy and a dash of RPG? What you'd find at the bottom of the video game cauldron is a game called Aedis Eclipse: Generation of Chaos. AE: GC is the second title...

Gamers who want a real challenge in a strategy RPG will find it here. That's good. But part of the challenge is fighting the game itself in order to understand the play mechanics. That's not so good.

Aedis Eclipse ~Generation of Chaos~

An ambitious but fatally flawed PSP strategy RPG.

Adorable art; multiple, totally different play through choices

Battle system; confusing interface; no real tactical control; load times

Aedis Eclipse: Generation of Chaos Review

Striking a nearly perfect balance between role-playing game goodness and strategy gaming, Aedis Eclipse: Generation of Chaos might not do combat right but it's still a worthwhile game for PSP gamers

Striking a nearly perfect balance between role-playing game goodness and strategy gaming, Aedis Eclipse: Generation of Chaos might not do combat right but it's still a worthwhile game for PSP gamers. With three intriguing storylines and some solid...

Generation of Chaos: Aedis Eclipse | Aedis Eclipse ~Generation of Chaos~ (2007) on PlayStation Portable

The second Generation of Chaos strategy title on PSP (based on GoC V on PS2) takes place in this world divided into three warring planes. Each world has its own main character and story; therefore, players can experience three different stories at...

Long, long ago, battles were waged with blade and spell. The lush island of Aedis was constantly submerged in bloodshed. Eventually, this hatred and anger gave birth to an entity known as Mugen, which brought an end to all things. Mugen's dark lightning scorched the land, split the earth, and shattered the vessels of life. The few survivors fled to an ancient relic, the Otherworld Tower. As they entered, some descended into the earth, while others climbed to the heavens. Some, however, still had faith in their land, and remained in Aedis. Thus has the legend this world has passed down. They call it a fairy tale, a mere child's fantasy.
