Chili Con Carnage

A dusty southoftheborder shootout with a thirst for blood.

Next to the singleplayer game is a multiplayer fare which is good enough for kicks and ultimately makes the main game all the more appealing. Multiplayer includes the scorebased "Fiesta, where up to four players are dumped into a level filled with...

Chili Con Carnage

Not every game needs to be epic, awe-inspiring, and grandiose; in fact, more games need to stop trying to capture these qualities and focus on getting gameplay right. That's exactly what Chili Con Carnage does and the result is a fantastic, funny...

Awesome non-stop action ; Over-the-top humor ; Several single and multiplayer modes for hours of play

Lack of camera controls ; Mediocre visuals

You won’t find anything revolutionary about Chili Con Carnage, but that’s the point. Non-stop action peppered with a wacky sense of humor makes this a great handheld game. It’s easy to get over the camera issues, as long as you focus on the fun.

Chili Con Queso

Chili Con Carnage pours on the cheese and elevates portable gunfighting to something that's actually -- gasp -- playable?

Terrific framerate, great art design, solid (and varied) level design... this game really does look great, and it's actually a little surprising the first time you see it all running.

Chili Con Carnage

Mildly offensive themes can't stop this shooter from being plenty of shamefully good fun.

A variety of entertaining single and multiplayer modes to shoot your way through; thrilling gunplay and nice visuals

Single-player storyline is very short; offensive dialogue and ridiculously jingoist themes

Chili Con Carnage Review

Head South of the Border for some hot gun-slinging action.

All of this ties into the game's combo system. Gamers earn points by tying actions together, such as scoring a headshot and then running in to put a floating sombrero on Ramiro's head. Other special items become available; including a colossal Lucha...

Chili Con Carnage PSP Review

If you've previously played 2005's Total Overdose then this 2007 release of the jokingly-titled Chili Con Carnage should be very familiar to you. This isn't a sequel as such, it's more of a retread of Total Overdose, with locations, weapons, characters...

This writer was a huge fan of Total Overdose, so it goes without saying that he also enjoyed this re-imagining immensely. If you like action games with more bang than sizzle, then the spicy Mexican-fuelled Chili Con Carnage should do you a great...

Chili Con Carnage

Go into it not expecting much and you may actually come out of it pretty pleased. There is no real strategy behind it, it is basically run in do your business and get out again. But when you combine this with a Mexican flavour and over the top action...

Simplistic gaming. Straight into the story and flows through quickly. Action is packed with Matrix style attacks and a Mexican soundtrack that ramps up right in the thick of things

Controls and camera angles are a bit quirky. Takes a bit of the shine off some kills and on occasions can cost you. The layout is also pretty bland which takes out the whole exploratory factor that was seen in Total Overdose

Chili Con Carnage

Hot stuff

As Ram, a hot blooded latino who's just had the trauma-inducing (if not entirely humourless) experience of watching his papa's demise at the blades of a combine harvester, you set off on a killing spree that bounces you from one crime lord to the next...

Chili Con Carnage

You're right; it IS a stupid name for a game. But if you can get past that it's honestly a far better game than the name suggests. An action adventure with the emphasis firmly on the action, Chili Con Carnage (CCC) sees you take on the role of Ram, a...

Once you've got to grips with the slightly cack-handed controls (perhaps it's just me but shoot would feel far more natural on the circle button than the square) pulling off such cinematic carnage is delightfully easy with Ram more than happy to flip...

Chili Con Carnage (2007)

With a bodycount that would dwarf the population of most European countries, a hatchet-wielding assassin who hurls exploding chickens and the best game title since Super Money Ball, Mexican blaster Chili Con Carnage is the most fun you can have with a...
