Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days

Sometimes you got a little Hell to pay. One bright and sunny day, I went to one of my favorite independent game stores to check out what was cool in...

Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days - PSP

Days In the peaceful world of Veldime, humans rarely encountered monsters. That was until Overlord Zenon cursed the land and all who reside within. With the curse in place, the humans became monsters and ravaged the world. It is up to Adell, the last...

Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days

Apparently 2009 is the year of the Prinny. This fictional penguin creature not only starred in his own portable platformer Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero, but is all over Nippon Ichi Software's newest PSP adventure game, Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days....

Sure it's a port of a three year old role-playing game, but Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days is an adventure game worth reliving. This PSP port does more than mimic the PlayStation 2 original, it improves on it in every way possible. With more missions,...

Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days

If you like leveling-up, this epic RPG is for you

Over-the-top special moves ; The huge job system ; Irreverent sense of humor

Casual RPG fans will hate the grind ; A high difficulty level ; Not much new in this late re-release

And don’t forget the charm. Characters are full of vim and vigor, spouting memorable quotes concerning the “elegant art of leveling-up,” and how the game’s final boss is rumored to possess “over one billion HP.” If you’re a stranger to Disgaea’s...

Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days Review

Disgaea has become one of the most popular underground franchises in modern gaming. It had it's humble start back in 2003 on the PS2, and only through word of mouth did the game see any real recognition amongst the gaming community. Since then Disgaea...

Overall, Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days manages to be a re-release that's totally worth the rebuy. The core game remains the same, but the additions and tweaks make it feel like an all-new game at the same time. The game is every bit as good as the original...

Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days Review

If you're tired of games that let you down after the first hundred hours, Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days is the probably the best thing on the PSP this side of Dissidia: Final Fantasy.

The presentation and gameplay transitioned perfectly (again) to the PSP, and the bonus content is meager, but well-done

It could be a little overwhelming for newcomers, could use a few more movies/anime cutscenes

If you've already played Disgaea 2 and abused the Magichange system of Disgaea 3 for all it's worth, the handful of bonus content is probably not enough to do it all over again. However, if you haven't sunk 200 hours into your elite team of Prinnies,...

Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days Review

What once was big is now small, and just as big.

Custom parties and creatable characters; Item World is even more addicting; Dialog is fluid and funny; Still a Playstation beauty champ

Nothing terribly new or innovative

Review: Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days (Sony PSP)

So does this port provide compelling enough reasons to revisit D2, or does it feel like someone was trying to squeeze water from a stone? Read on to find out.

Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days is the definitive version of D2, incorporating gameplay mechanics from D3 and expounding on them, as well as some completely new ones. It excels in gameplay, but falls short in the story department. If you missed the PS2...

Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days

Trying to assemble and a list of all the stuff you can do in Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days would be an exercise in excessive discourse. The game pushes its content into near overkill levels, but moderate to hardcore strategy RPG fans should have little...
