Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake (PSP)

It's one thing to save a princess from the clutches of evil, but how can you hope to save one from herself? In Fat Princess, the queen-in-waiting cannot control her own insatiable appetite, putting untold pressure on the fine stitching that valiantly...

Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake Review

The Fat Princess makes her way into the portable PSP. Lots of face stuffing in a smaller package.

Fat Princess is a better idea on paper than it is as a physical game. Just think of the promise; besides being a fresh take on established genres, the idea of a sizeable sire is just hilarious. Too bad playing certain parts are just plain not fun.

Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake

Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake is exactly what you'd think it is - a scaled down version of the PSN release with the same pick-up-and-play mentality, hats that define your role on the battlefield, and flags that get bigger when you force-feed them cake.

Great multiplayer experience on the PSP, easy to find online games

Limit of 4 human players, no voice chat, can't invite friends to a game

Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake

Fat Princess was a ballsy choice to pack into Sony's handheld, but Fistful of Cake doesn't disappoint in its attempt to emulate big brother. Single player is serviceable, but its longevity and success will be determined by the strength of its user...

Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake

How do you fit obese royalty into your pocket? It?s a question that has bugged us at Gamer Limit for quite some time. Judging by Martin and Simon?s ex-girlfriends we thought they would have the answer, but sadly they weren't princesses. Lucky for us...

A brilliant package that has, amazingly, squeezed in more content than its predecessor. If you can get your PSP online, then there is no reason why this won't last for a very long time. Top stuff.

Sony's twisted take on

Expert review by:

Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake

Fat Princess, Sony's utterly charming capture-the-flag title for the PS3 via the PSN, has arrived for the PSP in the form of Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake — and the port is as smooth as delicious custard.

Fast and frenetic gameplay ; Fantastic visuals and audio ; Fun as either single or multiplayer ; Upgraded with extra maps and multiplayer modes ; Cake

Learning curve may be off-putting to newcomers ; Instructions and objectives not always clear ; On-screen action can sometimes be hard to make out

If you have the PS3 version, is there enough here to justify buying it? Well, the portability of playing it on the PSP is a plus, and a beefed up single-player and more multiplayer campaigns and maps make it worth at least a look. If you have the 50...
