Review: Flatout: Head On

I'll be brutally honest, I've been putting off trying out Flatout: Head On for one very poor reason, with the re-release of Final Fantasy 4 every time I reached over to pick up a portable system instead of reaching for the PSP to do some work, I'd pick...

FlatOut: Head On

Burnout was a franchise that convinced a lot of people that crashing cars and the carnage that followed could be a lot of fun. It was only a matter of time before another company would come along and think they could capitalize on that. And so another...

What has four wheels, bad music, and lackluster graphics? Flatout: Head On! Save your money for one of the console version where this game can be better appreciated.

FlatOut Head On

After three console games in this series, here comes a handheld version specifically made for the PSP. FlatOut Head On is familiar to me and is basically FlatOut 2, but on the PSP instead. Three types of racing for the career mode exist: Derby, Race,...

Six by Nine takes Bugbear's solid racer for a spin on the PSP with FlatOut: Head On, and does the series proud.

Really, that's as much as I can say for the game. It's FlatOut and FlatOut is a good game, has been for years now. If for some reason you've missed out or you just want access to a ton of racing content, then you're more than welcome to give this a...

FlatOut: Head On (PSP)

Wheeled racing may never get much better than FlatOut: Head On on the PlayStation Portable. With the lack of a promised entry in Sony's watershed racing series Gran Turismo for the handheld, the market is wide open for entertaining racing action, and...

FlatOut: Head On

Silly, knockabout handheld racing

Smooth framerates ; Tons to smash ; Arcade-style fun

Preposterous physics ; Getting used to the handling ; Unforgiving difficulty

But if you don’t fancy that, there’s a regular Tournament mode and the opportunity to try out the minigames individually. Our only gripe is the difficulty balancing. It can get incredibly tough early on, and the other drivers' AI seems unfairly...

FlatOut: Head On - Review

FlatOut: Head On can be thought of as Burnout's country cousin. It's less sophisticated, but it doesn't seem to care and in fact has a lot of fun with its more simple-minded pursuits. FlatOut brings you destruction derbies, races in which bumping the...

FlatOut: Head On gives you a lot of enjoyable racing for a portable game.

Flatout: Head On - PSP review - Pocket-lint

Should you be running flatout to or from this game?

Demolition derby mode, graphics, plenty here

Flatout: Head On is a great pick up and play car game that will have you oh-ing and ah-ing as you crash into yet another obstacle or take out another race competitor

FlatOut Head On

While FlatOut is the latest in a number of racing games on the PSP - it has a twist. It's got stunt driving!

Ragdoll, decent soundtrack, carnage points, destruction derby mode, variety of modes means you don't get too bored too quickly

Races are still pretty generic, running over your own driver doesn't get you points

While I never thought it'd come to this, it's a decent handheld game that has gets the right amount of attention from you without becoming demanding. The mixture of derby, races and stunts means it's not the game casual gamers might play once and leave...

Pedal to the metal rednecks! It's psychotic, no holds barred racing with a touch of Dukes of Hazzard and a special twist that would keep even the most sadistic mind occupied. Flatout – Head On (F:HO) is the PSP version of Flatout – Ultimate Carnage,...
