Football Manager Handheld 2008 Review

A month after its grand pappy came out on the PC, Football Manager Handheld 2008 runs onto the pitch...

FMH 2008 continues to masterfully translate the main FM game onto the PSP. This year's game sees some nifty little additions to the match engine and interface that both enhance gameplay and streamline the experience.

Another relegation battle for the PSP

For whatever reason (money presumably), Sports Interactive keeps attempting the impossible with very predictable results. A functional but ultimately tedious cash-in on a wellrespected licence.

Football Manager Handheld 2008

Back for another season, and still in trophy-winning form

Build a talented squad of players, add a few new signings every season to bolster them, evolve a training regime that suits the squad and its style of play, and gradually hone your tactics until the trophies are raining in

Management on the go

This is a pretty solid if basic game, some people have critizised the lack of an actual match engine with a pitch etc but considering the power and functionality of the PSP this is a bit of a harsh assessment.

basic feeling

i've never played FM on PSP before and i have to say i was(indeed) disappointed just for the fact that you CAN NOT select the "pitch" screen like on the pc version overall its just another manager game
