Football Manager Handheld 2010

This soccer management sim is fun for a while, but it's too simplistic and flawed to keep you playing until next season.

Accessible for newcomers to the series ; Plenty of stuff to do between match days

Not deep enough to keep veterans interested for more than a few seasons ; Inconsistent and occasionally nonsensical feedback ; Some of the menus that make up much of the game are unwieldy

Football Manager will test out your managerial skills, as well as your patience. You'll have to deal with the Board, fans, injuries and disgruntled players to create a successful team, and all from the comfort of your PSP, so you can take it anywhere...

Detailed reports from the Assistant Manager, Coach and Scout; New skin; Easy to navigate; A plethora of stats

Lack of media and team communications; No crowd noises during games

Sports Interactive's reserve side gets a point deduction...

To call it an alternative to the brand's main title would be misleading. This is not a rewarding enough experience to bear any sort of favourable comparison.

When I spent a year doing the train slog from Bournemouth to London, Football Manager 2007 on the PSP helped keep me sane, while driving me wild with rage at the same time. Why wouldn't my left-back support the attack, why does every forward I sign...

Side-by-side view is a godsend ; Assistants now earn their bread ; Retains the pure and simple gameplay approach ; Endless depth, take all the time you like

Animated action still largely a waste of time ; Not really essential if you have FM09 ; Not on the PSP Store (at the time of writing)

Interruptions to your game are kept to a minimum and you only ever see the progress bar for about 10-20 seconds on a busy Saturday schedule. All of which gives you the beautiful game in the palm of your hand, just as good as ever and neatly tweaked to...

GREAT

It is a great game. It has a great transfer window, managerial adjustments and awareness of games beyond your team. For anyone who has had the dream to become a manager, this is a most buy( for this year). Well worth the money!

FMH 2010 is an addivtive game. It doesn't have many flaws but there is certainly room for improvement. I've never played FMH 2010 on PC so I sadly can't compare this with that, but we all know that the PSP can;t do as much as the PC and for what it can...

Massive improvement from FM Handheld 2009

Recently brought the game on PSP and was surprised by the improved game play. FM 2010 has taken on a lot of features from the PC version, including confidence meters, the ability to adjust budgets, odds before matches, assistant manager reports and...
