Gran Turismo (PSP)

Back in 2004, Gran Turismo 4 Mobile was announced as a "flagship title" for the original PSP. Five long years later, Sony and Polyphony Digital have finally made good on that promise, releasing Gran Turismo as a launch title for the new PSP go portable...

Gran Turismo racing sim for the PSP (finally!). Updated interface from GT4.Multiplayer. More than 800 cars and 35 tracks. Easier to earn credits to "collect them all

Install won't fit on a 1GB Memory Stick Duo. Most car models and tracks aren't updated from GT4. Limited customization

Gran Turismo for PSP is exactly what GT fans would expect from Polyphony and Sony: You can race on the Nurburgring on your train commute, and it's just as fun as it is on the PS2 or PS3.

Gran Turismo (PSP)

More than five years and a couple of title changes after it was announced, Gran Turismo has finally arrived on the PSP. The first handheld iteration of "the real driving simulator" isn't as fully featured as some of its predecessors, and the lack of a...

The Real Driving Simulator finally arrives on PSP. A sighting of Gran Turismo for the PSP is like seeing a unicorn, it just never happens, that is until now. Sony...

Tons of cars to collect ; Gorgeous visuals ; Superb control

No career mode ; No online functionality

Gran Turismo

When Gran Turismo, previously known as Gran Turismo Mobile, was first unveiled for the PSP, many gasped at such a tantalisingly mammoth prospect. As time went on however, the legitimacy of the project became increasingly uncertain, until now, a full...

Gran Turismo is fun to take out for a test drive, but for the long haul it lacks the depth that players have come to expect.

As close to racing a modified Viper as I'll ever get.

But this is the only flaw I could find to gripe about. The rest of the game is just fantastic. There is simply no other racing game for the PSX with the same graphic quality, depth, detail, and replay value. This is an absolute must-buy for...

Gran Turismo - PSP review at Thunderbolt Games

For any fan of the long running Gran Turismo series, patience is a virtue both on and off the race track. Formerly announced simultaneously with the PSP console at E3 2004, Gran Turismo PSP has almost become the Chinese Democracy of the gaming world,...

The Consensus: Gran Turismo PSP Review

"The Real Driving Simulator" comes to the handheld lacking much but offering enough.

Classiest driving physics in the handheld environment; killer visuals; more cars than an LA traffic jam

Can't damage (or repair) your cars; can't race online, can't compete in championship, season, or career modes

Ultimately, even if you live for careers and season modes, even if you get your kicks from online competition, and even if you like your racing a bit less difficult, you shouldn't completely write off Gran Turismo. The game clearly leans backward...

The PSP version of Gran Turismo is simply incredible, and yet disappointing at the same time.

Gran Turismo

Originally slated as a PSP launch title in 2004, Polyphony Digital's iconic Gran Turismo racing simulator has become something of a myth in gaming circles - its very own Bigfoot. Now, at last, it's here.

Timed to launch alongside the befuddling download-only PSP Go, Gran Turismo (GT) for PlayStation Portable (PSP) is graciously available in classic UMD format as well as software direct via the PlayStation Network.

Gran Turismo PSP has been in development for what seems like forever. Promised when the PSP was still a new system, it has seen delay after delay but now has finally seen the light of day. Known for the most realistic racing simulation on the planet,...

GT is known for tight controls and realistic driving physics. The PSP version doesn't disappoint in this department. The game also looks gorgeous to really sell you on the idea this is the next best thing to driving the cars of your choice. Screen...

For all the work done getting the feeling of driving just right, there isn't much attention paid to making you want to drive them. You have access to all these wonderful cars, but the way the races are presented, you'll be wondering where the rest of...

GT feels like a step backwards for the racing franchise. The driving feels great but there isn't much incentive to keep playing the game because it is sorely lacking any modes that you can get lasting appeal out of. In the end, there is a lot of dazzle...
