Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier

Sony's other duo reaches for the skies

Brilliant shooty bits ; Great platform puzzling ; Lots of collectibles

Shoddy camera system ; Auto aim is unreliable ; Quite tough in places

Regardless, The Lost Frontier is ample demonstration that Jak and Dax still have the charm to carry an epic platform adventure. If there’s any justice in the world it’ll convince Naughty Dog (the series' creator) to start work on a PS3 adventure.

Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier

Once you get past the fact that you can't look up or down, Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier is a great little platform game. The story is acceptable, though not the strongest the series has seen. That's fine though, since a grander story would seem out...

Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier

J&D's latest adventure has a few issues, but it's a challenging, exciting ride.

The audio in Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier impresses as well with tons of voiced character work and a motion picture (again, think Pirates of the Caribbean) soundtrack. It's definitely every bit as good as the earlier console versions. Jak's voice is...

Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier - Review

Outside of the kart combat game Jak X, it's been quite some time since we've seen a Jak and Daxter game. Daxter made a solo appearance in the excellent PSP game that bore his name, but that was an adventure all the Ottsel's own without any help from...

Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier is more fun when it's up in the air than when it's on the ground.

Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier

It's easy to feel a little bit sorry for Jak & Daxter; where they once stood shoulder to shoulder with stable-mates Ratchet & Clank as unofficial Sony mascots, in recent years they've seen that position slip – Sackboy arrived on the scene, original...

If we’re being overly harsh, its mainly because we expected and hoped for more – the series has a great heritage and developer High Impact Games have already produced some solid efforts for the PSP (namely Secret Agent Clank and Ratchet & Clank: Size...

Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier (PSP) review

The Precursors haven't left a very good legacy

It looks nice enough but plays a shockingly average platform game. The Dark Daxter sections are poor and air combat is forgettable. The Lost Frontier is one big missed opportunity, and we can't wait for Naughty Dog's return to the series.

Brilliant!

To be honest, when I found out you were in planes on this game I thought it would be as disapointing as Jak X. How wrong could I be! The game is great! The graphics are very good for the PSP and the gameplay is awesome. The storyline is strong and...

an average good game for the handheld psp

it's actually a good game, with great graphics and very good storyline but the problems with the camera makes it sometimes very frustrating.nevertheless it's duration is acceptable i finished it in 20 hours for the first time, but if you finish it it...
